Looking at the product description, Steve was tempted, especially by the beast soul armor and weapons. He wanted nothing more than to buy them all.
Sadly, the armor and weapons were all too expensive, and even though Steve had earned hundreds of millions in original gold by now, it was far from being enough. This was because the poorer quality beast soul armor already required ten million and above, while the better quality ones required a hundred million and above to purchase them. Of course, even if Steve did not have enough cash to pay for it all now, Mesa Mall would be more than willing to let him buy it on credit.
"Pick one that fits my needs the most," Steve said.
"Choosing for you…" the Heart of the Universe replied. "Choosing done. There are a total of 13 types that suit master's speed. It is suggested that master should get the fundamental armor Dark Shadow and the beast soul weapon, Traveler's Boots."
Steve looked at the F grade fundamental armor Dark shadow that the Heart of the Universe had recommended. He then read both products' descriptions.
Dark Shadow: When attacking, it increases the attacking speed by 10% immediately. Creates an illusion of an after image for one second, causing the attack to disappear in the blink of an eye. Price, 18 million in original gold.
Traveler's Boots: Increases mobility speed by 30%, and eliminates obstructing forces while changing directions in increased speed mode. Price, 59 million in original gold.
Seeing the prices, Steve was tempted. As compared to the other armors, these two suited him very well.
Dark shadow can increase his attacking speed by 10% in the middle of battle, and could also create afterimages, causing the attacks to disappear. If he were to use it during close combat, it would be impossible for an opponent to defend against completely, so would definitely cause a lot of damage to that opponent!
Traveler's Boots was more important for evading attacks and escaping, its highlight being that it could eliminate all obstructing forces, while changing direction! This was equivalent to taking a sudden turn during a race car competition, where the race car's speed was at its fastest, but when facing a sudden turn, even if it were to drift, the friction and obstructing forces would cause it to slow down.
Similarly, during a fight, Steve's moves would be unpredictable, especially if the obstructing forces could be eliminated while he was in the increased speed mode! However, the price of it was a bit too steep, so Steve left it there and went to look at other recommendations.
"Recommending the F grade sword skill 'Glowing Swordplay,' F grade weaponry, the blade of spirit hunters," announced the Heart of the Universe.
Glowing Swordplay: A total of seven sets of moves, the speed of the sword is as swift and graceful as a passing beauty, and can also create light images and cause hallucinations to confuse the opponent. Price, 29 million in original gold.
Blade of the Spirit Hunters: Forged using black steel and is sharp on its own. Black steel is the strongest and sharpest metal among F grade compound metals. Every part of the sword is as sharp as a blade, and the blade itself can even cut through normal F grade compound metals. Price, 95 million in original gold.
After looking at its design, the Blade of the Spirit Hunters was very tempting to Steve. The only problem was that it was too expensive. In fact, it was the most expensive of all! Following that, were the thermal weapons recommendations.
"Master's knowledge of thermal weapons is limited, so it is suggested that master buy the Hawkeye and the Red Eagle's Revolver."
The last two items that the Heart of the Universe recommended were the most basic thermal armor and weaponry.
Hawkeye: Uses cosmic forces to restore eyesight ,while gradually stimulating the eye's nerves, pupils etc., allowing the practitioner to see further and clearer. It's worth 11 million in original gold.
One could also redeem the Hawkeye in the military, but it required quite a lot of military merits. Steve's military merits were all used up, so he could not afford it.
As for the Red Eagle's Revolver, it was one of the thermal weapons that combined laser weaponry and metallic bullets weaponry. It was similar to a revolver pistol, except that it could use metallic bullets, and after finishing the bullets, it could absorb solar power, giving it the ability to then shoot laser bullets instead.
Its only weakness was that the lethality was normal for the Red Eagle's Revolver, so it belonged among the basic thermal weapons. It could also be used as both a laser weapon and a metallic weapon, and had an attack range of up to 1500 meters. Its price was the cheapest among the others at 5 million in original gold, not inclusive of bullets.
Steve looked at all of the recommended items, knowing that he'd never have enough cash, should he try to buy all of them now. But, these items were what he needed most now.
"Duncan, I'd like to purchase Dark Shadow, the Traveler's Boots, Glowing Swordplay, the Blade of the Spirit Hunters, Hawkeye and Red Eagle's Revolver." Steve picked out the items that he needed.
"Sir, the products that you've chosen cost a total of 217 million in original gold, and after the discount, its still 108.5 in million gold," Duncan said.
Steve was stunned for a moment, as he had just remembered that the ultimate VIP status that Mesa Mall had gifted him with allowed him a 50% discount for all the items.
Now, down to 108.5% million in original gold...The price reduced by a lot all of a sudden!
I could just manage to afford it!
"A total of 108.5 million, okay. Please confirm the transaction," Steve said, as he transferred the amount online.
"There's no need for that, as the total cost of the products that Mr. Steve has bought shall be deducted from the sales of the enhanced Subatomic Serums," Mr. Duncan said hurriedly.
He did not dare to accept Steve's money now, as Steve had already brought forth a huge profit for their corporation by his being willing to auction his enhanced Subatomic Serums at Mesa Mall. The commercial value itself would've brought forth a huge profit for Mesa Mall in the near future.
Also, Steve's future potential was immeasurable, so Mesa Mall wisely knew that they should form good ties with him now. As such, a mere 100 million in original gold could not be compared to the profits that Steve would bring!
Hence, Duncan only came up with an excuse to delay the payment, as he did not dare accept Steve's money. It almost felt more like he should be the one paying Steve the money!
Steve did not reject the generous offer, as he needed the money to do other things now anyway. Just perfecting the experimental lab alone would require a huge sum of money. And there were also serums to create that were needed for training, so 100 million in original gold was just not enough!
After that, Steve bought another bundle of ingredients, including ingredients for other serums. He had now mastered the enhanced Subatomic Serum and had started to learn how to cultivate other serums. After all, if he wanted to pass and get the F grade pharmacist's certification, so he'd need to master at least three types of F grade serums!
