Ever since autumn arrived, the weather had turned really cold in City Z, especially since rainy days kept visiting, so the air was oddly humid.

From that day when Qi Qiming spoke with Qi Lei, Qi Lei stopped going to Qi Kai to work. He also stopped applying for leave from the HR Department.

Qi Lei expected Qi Qiming to be furious at him and fire him immediately. However, Qi Qiming just kept quiet.

Yang Sheng had no idea what happened, and no one else knew what happened that day apart from the two of them. Yang Sheng found it odd that Qi Lei stopped going to the company for several days without any reason, so he then went to take a look at Qi Lei, but what surprised him was that his house in Grand Lake Villa area was empty. When he called Qi Lei, he could not get through either.

It seemed like Qi Lei did not return home at all and had been missing for several days.
