Assistant

I opened my eyes as the light from the sun reflected through my face. I blinked a couple of times till I realized what had happened and why I was lying on a different bed. I smiled and faced the ceiling. Right! I have a lot of things to do and I can't afford anymore delays.

*knock knock*

"Hey princess! breakfast is served!" a loud voice echoed through the house. Oh it's Elliz, hmm. Princess? huh! I'm not a princess. After I took a bath and made my routines, I went outside only to find a couple of ladies buzzing around in the kitchen. 1, 2, 3, 4- so there's 4 other people living here and I will be the 5th one. I sat at the left side and ate my food.

*kruu kruu*

I raised my head to see them looking at me like I'm some kind of a species that stole the life of all mankind. Really Cyllene? Do you have time for all those monologues? I calmed myself and smiled a little.

"uhm hi?" gosh this is embarrassing it has been a couple of months since I last met someone new.

"HI! I'm Sia I'm 24" the lady in pink dress and blonde hair said while waving the bread on her hand.

"Crish here 24 too" the one with white shirt and shorts shorts and black hair.

"I'm Sydney 23 the youngest and I work as a-"pigtails and a fitted grey dress with ruffles.

"that would be enough now Syd. Hey Elliz from last night. How's your sleep? I hope we didn't disturb you last night" Elliz the one who led me to my room last night and muttered weird things.

"oh no worries i slept well after I unpacked my things" I stated and took a bite of the sandwich I'm holding. Hmm peanut butter and jelly?

"that's good" Crish

"Where are you from? What brought you here?" Sydney

"if... you don't mind us asking you know?" Sia added

"I... It's uhm" I just don't want them to know after all I came here for a change and ugh never mind.

"it's okay I know it's not easy to trust someone that you met for the first time but hey I think I saw you before!" Sydney exclaimed and pointed her finger at me. Sweat started to build on my Temple, nervous of being exposed and dragged back to the Generals Mansion.

"hmm I also think she is familiar but it's quite difficult to identify in where or how I find her familiar" Crish added

"don't be ridiculous guys, maybe you saw each other passing by or etc . In fact a lot of people look the same but are not related to each other. Just let it pass" I breathed a sigh of relief thank you Elliz I will definitely treat you when I have money.

"I'm sorry. Thank you for the meal. I have to go" I bowed my head to show respect and rushed to my room. I still can hear the arguing and blaming each other. HOOH safe!

I roamed around the busy street while clutching the strap of the bag I bought. I felt the coldness running through my body as I took slow steps. This will be the first time I will walk around alone and go out and face the world on my own. The 20 years of my existence has been difficult beside school and the market. I have never been anywhere far from the Mansion and I'm only familiar with these things because of the books and the internet. My social media account is private and the people I'm friends with were my classmates before. As I take this path ahead me I know life will be difficult. I can only rely on myself right now.

"Miss, are you lost?" I heard a voice from behind. Turned around and I saw a man around my age wearing faded ripped jeans. Is he a beggar? Does he need money? Why is his jeans ripped? He probably noticed my gaze and he started to chuckle. Is there a problem?

"It's a new style. You know ripped jeans?" he stated

"Style? I thought you are a beggar for you look like someone in need" I told him. What?! It's true! I saw how his brows twitched.

"Never mind that. Are you looking for a job? I know someone looking for a replacement and they really need someone right now. If you are interested I can show you the place" He asked. Somehow I find him strange. How did he know that I need a job? I looked at him suspiciously and nodded my head slowly as if hesitating to agree or not.

"Don't worry it's decent" He said and he smiled before he ushered me to the building on Third Street.

"I won't use my car for you not to worry" He added. I just nodded and observed the places we will pass in case of a sudden escape. I know where to go.

We stopped in front of a Victorian styled building. I saw the signage and it is called LME? As we entered the building he brought me to the front desk and asked for a visitors card. Then we went to the elevator and he handed me the card.

"You will be needing this if ever someone asked you what you are doing here, tell them you are being summoned by Mr. Siv" I nodded my head. What the hell did I enter?

"What is this place?"

"Are you serious?!" he exclaimed And he looked at me as if I have to head.

"Do I look like I'm kidding?" I calmly stated.

"Okay I believe you. This is LME or LiMe (lime) Entertainment. A place for all the upcoming stars and aspiring idols. You will be working here as a temporary assistant of one of our models. It is urgent that's why I just picked you up there hoping you would agree. So do you want to work here?" What did I enter?! Assistant? Oh please spare me from all of this.

"You will be fine, don't worry uhm she is just a bit rude? just a bit" he added and is it just me? but he sounded like he was not sure. Anyway it's just an assistant right? It will be fine. I guess.
