Opening my eyes in a jolt as I suddenly feel like someone just dumped a bunch of cold water on me, though that definitely wasn't water. It felt like a sudden massive breeze of thick icy air.

As my blurry vision begins clearing I notice that I'm in the lap of what can be described as a Bug lady. Staring down at me in what I can decipher as love?

As I stare at the bug lady realization hits me as hard as the truck that killed me. Wait, aren't I supposed to be dead? What am I thinking about? Huh?

As the bug lady looks at me with a gaze only a mother can hold my baby eyes widen at the revelation. 't-this THING is my mother? Dear God no please don't be a bug please don't be a bug' as I'm panicking the door of the room I reside in is practically folded open and a absolute freaking unit of a man flies in his face steely as he observes my mother with a scowl. He has dark black hair and hard black eyes.

"Give me the child" the man asked no- he commanded. As I realize this guy must be something crazy I see my mother look down at me with what I can decipher as grief and terror as I'm handed into the Crushing grip of the man who is literally floating as he looks down at me shock dancing in his black eyes.

"This one is tough. Hmph, you may be of use to me yet boy. Hmmm what shall I name you? Something that rolls off the tongue hmmm, how about devo."

Giving who I assume is my father, the biggest scowl my baby face can muster he smiles at me in what I think is pride?

Literally shoving me back into my mother's arms, the man looks at her with a stern look. "Feed this one well. He may be one of my strongest children. I have some expectations for him. If he fails to fulfill them, it will be the end of you." Floating out of the room like some Uber powerful douche, my mother's big ugly alien eyes water as I cringe at the green tears spilling, some dropping onto my cheeks.

'This is going to be a long life, isn't it?' I shake my head as my mother silently cries to herself. I wish I could show her love and sympathy, but I can't even move my neck. 'That was my dad, huh? Let's hope he's the dominant parent or I'm going to look like a freakin' massive praying mantis, which I won't like very much.' I admit.
