Niamh is the best competitive player of the MMORPG Arcane League, having won the world tournament three times and obtaining the title of Demon King. However, in his last tournament and retirement, he faces his greatest rival, Yashmal, who is considered the best player in the individual qualifiers, with a win rate of 95% on the best competitive server. In the final, Yashmal obtains a crushing victory over Niamh, who feels completely humiliated and desperately seeks a way to end his life. The next day, Niamh climbs to the top of a mountain and decides to jump into the void to end his suffering. But before taking the final step, he meets a hermit elder who warns him that the abyss he is about to jump into is a place full of torment and suffering, and offers him a mysterious token. Despite the warning, Niamh decides to go ahead with his decision. The elder, seeing that Niamh is determined, decides to take his hand and offers him the token, telling him that it is a ticket to a new beginning. Niamh accepts the offer and, before disappearing, tells the elder that if anyone asks about him, to tell them that he is no longer in this world. Thus begins the story of redemption, suffering or hope of Niamh, who is forced to confront his inner demons and fight for his life in a new world full of dangers and challenges.
