In Comics however, we know that they were created by the First Cosmos/Firmament together with the Aspirants. While the Aspirants liked the Status quo of stagnation, The Celestials wanted to Create more. Anyways, that Aside, Similar to Gaea, Oshtur, Set, Chthon and other Elder Gods, Knull in a Primordial Elder God of Darkness. NOTICE: ELDER FUCKING GOD. True, he was able to behead a celestial, but whoever told you that Celestials were all powerful? And then, notice that in the original 616, it was mentioned that "Most" of Knull's Invincibility came from the link to the Undead corpse of the celestial he used to refine All-Black. this is what feeds him power through the Necrosword. In exchange for this, he is fed with the souls of those killed by it Anyways. Despite how It is portrayed that they are all powerful in the comics, I don't see anyone bothering to mention it to them.
