it's hard to find a good vampire MC story without harem. it's just a fact that harem takes away from the story of it isn't done well and very few writers can write a good harem.

And in the synopsis the MC wants to find his wife, not wives, meaning he didn't have a harem in his past life. so now that we does have a harem he shouldn't need his wife since he clearly didn't give all his heart to her

That's right, it's hard to make a good harem. I'm not even sure I can do it well, although I'm trying hard to make the harem have value.

Regarding the MC's wife, yes, he had one on earth and he loves her with all his being, one of his goals is to find her. At the beginning he is not willing to have more wives, he only has eyes for his wife and no one else, but there are various situations that occur, which cause the situation to change smoothly. But this change does not happen without a reason, there are many reasons behind why there is a harem for the protagonist, two of those reasons were revealed recently, (in the most recent chapters), it is until now that he is finally starting to accept the idea of having more wives. And although he is opposed to a certain extent, several things will happen that will make him change that point of view. Several reasons have been explained so far in the last chapters and others, which are still missing, will be explained later.

But I assure you that the harem here does not happen without meaning. Although I don't know how a reader would see it, but from my point of view as author, it happens with reason and a lot of sense.
