Review Detail of Sir_Stronghold in Gaming the Apocalypse - Resident Evil Chronicles

Ok I'm gonna write the most honest review for the first 10 chapters. Writing quality is excellent. Very few grammatical errors and the intent of each sentence is clear. The idea is good and the execution is decent. I do believe it would be a better story without the system. Like with him finding out naturally that he bonded with the virus and the abilities are developed and discovered over time through combat. The system aspect of the story actually makes the story more bland and takes away from the horror survival feeling that Resident Evil is supposed to have. The other issue I had was how quickly he met with the security team almost immediately after Red goes offline and how unreactive they are to his presence. The meeting between them was a perfect point to create drama or tension and author missed the opportunity. From there it felt rushed and most of the scenes were the same just describing the combat. There was no tension between the characters nor did MC have any meaningful interaction with them other than Red. I'm gonna keep reading, but wanted to give an honest review. 👍
