İ think asking the consumer how to improve is not a good way if you want to improve and i'm not telling this because i know something about writing but it is just that a chef does not take advice from a consumer about how to make good food but if he/she liked it or what it did not like, a piece of wisdom if you would take it.

dude just say why you don't like it or if you don't want to say it then don't give a review. there are people like me who first looks through a review before reading a story and seeing a one-star review just makes the story look really bad ...... The best way to leave a review would have been to say that you just didn't like it if you were not going to explain why then people would have thought that it was a personal opinion don't go around saying things like utter trash..... and a good author should always check what his readers need and take suggestions and constructive criticism from them if they want to improve I am not saying they should cater to every single fantasy of the reader and then compromise the whole story but if a lot of people are telling you that there is something wrong then usually something is wrong man you just sounds like a total idiot who doesn't have a single friend taking out his frustrations on the poor author or you are just a bully with no manners man..... I mean please be respectful when you are talking to total strangers and I know I am coming off as condescending and arrogant but I just feel like being a bad guy for today so adios amigo.....

You people have something wrong in the head, you have no problem with 5 star reviews without content and go all warior on a 1-2 star review of same kind then pretend civility or get personal about things you have no say in, worst you are not aware or acknowledge the hypocrisy and blame my conduct and claim how you know better.

That’s because even if a story has five star reviews without any explanation it still means people like the story and any new readers who don’t like the story can just leave. But bad reviews with no explanation keep readers away without them ever even checking whether or not the story is bad. On top of that reviews like yours that don’t give any explanation won’t allow the author to improve on their work thus keeping it from improving.

Then what is the point of rating it if you re expected to write a review when you think it is good and are intending to give a good score? it is missleading about the real quality of the story. No offense but i feel like teaching a kid why we should adhere to the traffic rules.
