The premise: MC tries to blackmail ML into taking over (read: working for) her family’s dying company for free. She stalks him and shamelessly tries to cash in on his raping her, something that she had told him he wouldn’t have to take responsibility for. Now that she’s in the position of weakness, she ignores everything she did in that situation - cutting ties, for one - to pursue her family’s agenda. Oh, and by the way... the ML has superpowers. (This feels like a random add-on that just appears in chapter 16 without any foreshadowing.) This woman is shameless, manipulative, and idiotic, and yet comes off as a shy, helpless girl. Even worse, the ML still loves her. He’s also an idiot. What kind of relationship should he have with a girl he raped? What kind of feelings should he have for a girl who is blackmailing him? He probably only pays attention to her because one of his superpowers only applies to her. (Also known as the plot forcing them together. See: Twilight.) If you like this type of idiotic pairing, please keep reading. Otherwise, kick this trash out of your library.

COMMEThank you!! This author writes about the same thing in the 3 books I've tried reading so far... I mean does the author have something against couples who have regular problems... Does beating and raping just make it more exciting or something?? Maybe for some people but I just find it disturbing and discusting.
Wow, that's some strong opinions you have there! 😁😁 But yeah, without reading even a single word of the story, that's exactly what I thought it would contain...😕😑😐 I don't mean to insult Ye Fei Ye or anything, but when I see her name, I steer clear of the novel... which clearly shows how much I dislike the general premise and plotline of her novels...😐😐😐😐 I seriously can't understand the appeal of mutually and self abusive leads who have enough misunderstandings and crazy drama happening to them to travel to the sun and back!😕😕😕😕😒😒😒😒
1. MC doesn’t blackmail ML into taking over her company. The ML is the one playing hard to get to have MC come to him again and again, only signing the contract when she gives up. So she is not manipulative. 2. She’s not having him do it for free. 3. I believe every woman has the right to cut ties with her rapist. 4. She tried other ways to convince him before using the rape card. 5. I read to “His Venom, Her Honey” chapter (don’t know which one but around chapter 60). Cutting ties is the only thing she did to him. 6. The chapter I’m on doesn’t reveal his last “secret”, yet. It does involve the MC but the word the author uses is secret, not superpower. 7. He pays attention to her because they have a history together. One the MC forgets. (Though I doubt if it really is her.) P.S. I’m saying all this to defend the MC, not the author. I don’t agree using rape to spice things up either. I think ML is the one who’s a jerk. There is something wrong with his head.
On Which part did she blackmailed him?🤔 And what superpower of his that only applies to her?🤔 Your comment's misleading the readers.. She never blackmailed him.. He has 3 big secrets... The first 2secrets are his 2 superpowers and he can use both to anyone and anytime he wants..the 3rd secret (it's not a superpower)was never mentioned yet but it was his reason to forced himself to forget his feelings to the FL.
I drop this cause of how persistent the FL are to ML saying only him can save her family empire. It's just didn't make sense to me. Instead pushing him to take the burden of her own family business, why not she instead take it over or search other people to help her? I just don't like how egoist the FL are. Not to mention it seems she's the cutting tie to him when he want to amend his sins.
He never tried to amend his sins. He didn’t even apologize! About the company, FL tried to dissuade her father, too. She asked if it could be someone else. But, not knowing what happened between them, the father insisted on being ML because he is successful despite his young age, and the ties between them would make him agree.

Honestly, I agree. I’ve tried to read this twice and I always drop it within the first 100 chapters because of how painstakingly the relationship between the two is. Their relationship is erratic and inconsistent, almost as if there’s misunderstandings left and right leading to some petty fight between the two. Most would take it as a build up of plot but I can’t handle how awful it is. To think they fall in love after how they treat one another in the beginning is terrible.
Absolutely! This is also my third book by YFY and I just skipped to the ending since it was basically the same plot albeit the super powers and a incest thing. I’m really disappointed to see an author put in so much effort to enshrine rape and moronic behavior displayed by the FLs in all her books. Even Shi Yao in TBTWY is a moron who is constantly stuffing her face while her ‘friend’ is trying to steal her ‘man or not man’ and it’s up to said man or not man to save their ‘maybe relationship.’ As a woman, I find it very annoying that she keeps making her FL walk with their heads lowered, I mean what the f*** is that! Let wrap this up: if you’re feeling sorry for yourself and feel jumping off the balcony and deleting your sad life then by all means read a YFY novel, she’ll give you a hand. If, on the other hand, you need to pick yourself up and start again, try reading ‘Be My Strength’ or ‘Hidden Marriage’ or any novel that gives you strong characters with some common sense!
