i can't say I have ever experienced or heard of a situation where a teacher or professor would, or had grounds to kick a student from a glass because they were unable to answer a question, especially when it is wholly unrelated to the content taught in the class previously, or currently. it feels like a significant hole when saying the ethics board doesn't tolerate any corruption.

the way it reads makes it sound like he is hesitant to do so in the future. the entire start was about upcoming things. "he had hesitated in eldoris...." would probably make it a bit more clear

why is Sam purple? his aura was described as pure sky blue before.

it's been only 2 chapters since the last time they looked at the status. now it's attuned to at the very least Tristan. it can only be reattuned via death of one of the souls.
