From my understanding, Ultra Instinct is moving without even knowing there's a threat. Your body just moves even if you were asleep. This is the opposite. Not-Edith is using every ounce of brainpower she has to analyze and predict even the smallest micromovement Jyn makes. She can be hurt, but it would have to be something she can't predict--which is why the "flashbang" move worked. So, Jyn either has to get so fast she can't dodge or create a move that's unpredictable.

Muscle memory is irrelevant because the Sharingan is able to allow the user to memorize anything they see, "discern the reality behind any techinque", and modify the technique to suit their needs. Also, their perception is so insanely good they're able to predict their opponent's movements just by the smallest muscle twitches. They're able to see through certain objects if they try. They're able to see invisible people & even see Chakra itself. The only advantage Byakugan has over them is range and the ability to see through *anything*. Any damage they encounter due to improper use of the rifle is probably negated by just being a ninja (As in, they are very durable compared to us). You do have a point with the gun jamming, though. I don't think Orochimaru explained how to deal with something like that. I don't think the scope will be a barrier considering Sarada uses the Sharingan with glasses on and her glasses aren't just empty lenses. So could they do eye hypnosis through the scope...? Probably. But the Chakra still has to travel to the person and I'm not sure how fast it would be. I get what you're saying, but I think the Sharingan is just extreme BS to the max.

But Orochimaru just demonstrated how to effectively use it. They'd be able to perfectly emulate everything he did because of the Sharingan. That, plus their Sharingan would enhance their perception to insane levels while its active, which negates pretty much all of their relevant ineffiencies. Honestly, the only downside I can see is that they shouldn't be able to have their Sharingan activated the entire time.
