Garnette Briars is a strikingly beautiful seventeen-year-old girl who lives a life of solitude in a small town. Desperate to survive, Garnette agrees, unaware that Raphael’s offer comes with a price—he turns her into a vampire.
As Garnette awakens to her new life as an immortal, she finds herself in a world she never imagined—a world set 200 years before the events of the Twilight Saga, filled with ancient covenants, powerful vampires, and dark secrets. Trained by Raphael, an enigmatic vampire who has lived for centuries, Garnette learns to navigate her new reality with grace and poise, but also with a simmering determination to understand the full extent of her newfound powers.
Garnette soon discovers that she possesses a unique and dangerous ability: she can manipulate and grow briar roses, which can siphon the powers of other vampires when her thorns sink into their flesh. Raphael, who becomes a father figure and protector, teaches her to control her powers and feed on wild animals instead of humans. Together, they reside in France for two centuries, but the pull of the past and the mysterious connection to an ancient covenant draw them to Forks, Washington.
In Forks, Garnette’s path intersects with familiar faces—the Cullen family, the Denali clan, and even the Volturi—but it is Tanya Denali, a vampire of unmatched beauty and strength, who becomes Garnette’s unexpected mate. As Garnette’s powers grow, she becomes embroiled in the dark and intricate politics of the vampire world, where ancient forces conspire to tip the balance between light and darkness.
As Garnette delves deeper into the mysteries of her past and the true nature of the covenant she is now bound to protect, she faces relentless enemies—shadowy figures intent on claiming the power of the covenant for their own. Her journey takes her through ancient forests, treacherous mountains, and hidden sanctuaries where the lines between good and evil blur.

+ This story is in a universe that crossovers with Twilight, TVD, Shadow Hunters, Supernatural, Teen Wolf, etc. The MC is not a Twilight vampire, but a mix of all of them. She has a frozen heart that "beats", she can dream and sleep, she eats, and she does not sparkle. +
