He doesn’t have a true romance until much later in this story.

So Mick is an OC, his origins get touched on briefly in this story as things unfold.

Also (since I can’t figure out how to edit a post); It does stay pretty close to canon. I played very safe when I wrote this, but I did start to break out of that starting a bit with Framework; the next piece of the Agent Recluse series since I did everything a bit out of order. I’ve got Season 1 [which is posted fully], part of season 4 (Framework), Season 5 (Nexus), and Season 6 (Ghosts). They’re all up on Archive of our Own, but I’m slowly moving things over here.

So, I did have an origins story for Mick which does explain a lot of what he can do… I may post it, but just know it’s not well written and it’s a bit all over the place. In short, Mick has the ability to shoot webs from his wrist (think Toby McGuire Spider-Man), he’s got strength, but it’s really just enough to make a guy Fitz’s size match up with someone Ward’s size.

So, when I wrote this I was terrified to let Mick outshine the rest of the cast, but I will say no, Mick isn’t going to stay weak and become a background character. He does eventually come into his own, and I’ll get those stories posted here soon!
