Get your head out of the gutters, Tyler😂😂
I already answered why it seems he's overly reliant on skills in your previous comment. His Skills are what he has absolute control of at the moment. He could determine how good or bad he is at it. He also has Essence but limited control over it and he has done well for himself by using his foreknowledge to get ahead in this. Until Luke gets adequate resources, he would have to stick with what is available to him for now.
Remember that the Cube picks up young people with the most promising potential and still go further to weed them. Meaning that those that remain are very good in their own right. Even with that, everyone wouldn't be at the top. Even more these young stars, they will stars among stars and they would be those who will fall behind even with their promising potential. Luke understands this and is working with what he has at the moment considering how limited he is at this point.
Yes. I agree that so far, it seems like the only thing his regression has given him is his knowledge. This knowledge is certainly years worth of it and vast. Nonetheless, it looks like this because the knowledge is all he has access to right now. He has no weapons or tools or has had any need to engage in any sort of combat that would test him out. Unlike Otis who comes from a Hunter Family (I'm sure you can already hint how prestigious that is, it's not surprising he has access to a weapon already given his Family Technique is reliant on the sword). Luke is like most of the recruits in his batch (except the privileged ones). No families and no inherent techniques nor do they have any weapons to show off what they can do. This is the reason, Luke tries to hone the two things he has at this moment—his Essence and Skill. Certainly time would come when his other experiences are tested and would come to light (We are only 28 chapters in). Mind you, they've also been in the Cube for some days now and he already knows that the facility works based on merits. Nothing earned, nothing gained unless you can provide it yourself
Even though Casandra's Skill tickles everybody's fancy, Terence clearly and vocally expressed interest in one recruit and that was Reid. Yes. She's the female lead. About their sort of love-hate relationship, Luke cares about her. Not much about their relationship has been shown to assume he doesn't. The much that is known about Casandra at this point is that she's an extroverted, high-energy person which contrasts with Luke's more reserved nature and that's why he seems to find it annoying although in a good way anyway. Not that if anything happened to her, he would walk away without caring. Nay
For me, it felt like a more natural way anyone would react if they experienced the same thing. I don't believe that if anyone (adult in this case) is waltzed back to their teenage years, they would suddenly just adjust and start moving on. The shock is merely a natural reaction. If it doesn't go well with you, that's still cool anyway
Kekeke
Lol. How will you have her say it then?
Nope. Momentary shock
