Amelie is unaware that she’s using her power to force intimacy on someone. Brian isn’t a monster but he’s in a compromised state and Amelie wants comfort. Like Lena did. Amelie is a monster and so is Brian they are different people but Amelie is simply perpetuating this cycle of emotional manipulation albeit unconsciously. While Brian just wants someone to tell him what he wants to hear
