In dune they have genetic memories of a clone and that makes up the person. But they are not the real person in terms of the mind. But the brain has the memory. Damons body is a clone but not the mind. Because the mind continues to live on while normally it dies off and only genetic memories are left. No spice is also used for fuel that’s why it’s so important in dune
