I think it's foolish to let an enemy know all your cards and what you can do. Why does he care about the master of that knight? by the time they meet I think he will have enough power to defend himself. He should've given the knight to the dragon and ran away rather than been dumb and trust easily what was a moment ago his enemy. BESIDES weren't they were all powerful and all knowing race of the universe. how could he not know a little trick or a dark magic from a weak plane. I think the plot is knowingly making the MC choose dump and foolish decisions with out thinking
