It's just stuff we have been taught in 9th grade. There are two types, fission and fusion. Fusion requires isotopes like 92U235 and I don't really know which types of thorium and plutonic. And for fusion, 1H2 or 1H3, I don't really remember. Then we do chain reactions on these by neutron or other suitable particle, and by E=MC², E energy is created by M mass defect, which is very big, something around 930MeV for fusion? Then the heat is for converting water to steam and spinning the turbine. And of course since the chain reactions are very difficult to control, we haven't been able to build H energy reactors till now, or when I studied that in 9th
