This is a stupid complaint. There are multiple things that have contributed so far to him regaining his emotions. The fact that he got his sister's pendant back, that Kanao was spending time with him, that he figured out there's a guy that can help him save his sister i would say it makes pretty good sense that he's a tad bit more emotional than before
