I won all my 50/50 for Firefly, Ruan Mei, and their Light Cones, lucky me!
I freaking knew it was Hirugami! I just knew it!
This is being written at the time Pegasus is dueling Yuna, but so far, I like the story, but I don't really think I can really truly enjoy it. I like the fact that the the MC is a pretty introverted person compared to fics where the MC is very out there and charismatic, but I'm not really into the bit of how she has a passive expression and only speaks 1-3 words at a time like she's Yugioh Komi-san (which may just be the inspiration, idk) but when she's alone, she can rant aloud to the duel system and such. It's just that I'm sure even shy people can speak more than a handful of works at a time, which she is able to apparently do with ease during a duel, but it's a like a switch once she's done, so it's just really weird compared to her just being naturally timid but able to hold a conversation. And of course, bringing a string of cards from essentially the future eras of Yugioh into DM. While I get the rationale behind in, if you were gonna do that, you may as well have started at Battle City or even GX. All in all I like the story for what it is, but I don't really think I can fully enjoy it though, but I still wish the author the best in writing it all the same.
Brother, you sound like you kidnapped her lol
I have enough to guarantee a pity, but idk if I wanna pull for Sparkle to put with IL or save for Acheron
Barring the model part, why did I think of Raiden Mei from HI3 when reading this??
Coming back to just say, this chapter must have been a godsend because right after I read it, I ended up pulling Welt Yang from the standard banner baby. LET'S GOOOO!!!
I like the premise but the story itself is honestly sort of mid in my opinion. I Setting aside the subpar grammar and vocabulary usage from characters (like who has said WTF in Haikyuu's Junior High), I understand that a good serve is able to rack up a good string of points so I get the purpose of having Rei be the one to start the serves for his team, but honestly he's been racking up like 7+ aces simultaneously and makes winning the games he play a foregone conclusion. No to mention apparently you're being all Kuroko and putting in some 20% nonsense in it like he's already developed the body and performance of a world pro, since otherwise he'd definitely be hitting outs or nets. Like I said, I like the premise but you really made the story really predictable and boring
Honestly I like the premise of the story, I really do, but I dropped it really early because if you're gonna make this a Haikyuu story then make it a Haikyuu story, not a Haikyuu story that uses arguably even more exaggerated sports anime powers like the Zone from Kuroko of all things. I get it, it adds to the excitement of a player's performance, but Haikyuu is Haikyuu for a reason and doesn't need gimmicks to be good
I think it's more the fact that her given name is Mahiru, and to my knowledge, people don't really address each other by their given name unless they're really close, but Mahiru is doing it today because both siblings family names are Watanabe, so while she's calling Haruto by his first name, he doesn't really need to do the same.
I feel like Haruto at this point definitely could, but in this case, he's talking more objective I think from an outsider's mindset
Hey, people can say what they want about FFXV, and sure, it has its moments where it could've been better, but it was truly one of my most favorite FF games
I always enjoy the premise of system fanfics that revolve around stuff like being a merchant and selling goods, which is why I gave this story a read. And honestly, I would have a higher opinion of it if it weren't for the fact that it's honestly just a cop out for him to get a harem (which isn't even the main reason since while I don't like harem stuff, I'll still read if it's good) as well as the occasional but very noticeable instances of him being a horn dog out of nowhere, which is honestly just sorta cringy.
I think it's due to the face she's actually saying the word 'Onii-chan' aka calling him brother in Japanese
