Well, I'm not really an experienced writer, and apart from writing non-fiction, I don't know very well how to tell stories in a believable way. This is a problem I would like to partially remedy by writing the novel. I want to explain Amon's story slowly and in detail, especially since I find the reasons why someone becomes a classic villain interesting. Basically, I follow the principle: sometimes circumstances force people to make difficult choices and no one is just evil. Anyway, thank you for reading my Novel so far.
Well, I've already written the rough plot for the first Volume. And I think the interactions with other characters are important here, so that Amon's development can take its course. But don't worry, his development goes in the direction in which he will be alone in the future. Well, as alone as a Necromancer can be.
Thank you for noticing the mistake and asking. It is of course Liona who turned 10 years old and not Nimera who has already become a mother.
First of all, thank you for your comment as always. I thought I made that clear. At heart, Neo accepts the death of his soulless as long as they serve the purpose of achieving his goals, but when they die needlessly and lose their lives, like the unborn babies in the pregnant woman, he cares. They don't get a chance to do anything and are just forced to their deaths with their mothers, and this displeases Neo. That's why he was so angry that his legion was destroyed by the orbital bombardment. They were just slaughtered without any chance to fight. Then why does he go to the trouble of assembling his army for so long just so that they die in a mass destruction in a few seconds at the end? Understandably, he's angry about it. Don't get me wrong on this. In the war against the separatists before the apocalypse, he experienced first-hand that there would be losses in a fight and therefore when he set up his myriad and legion, he actually always acted with the mindset that he was ready to sacrifice his soldiers for his goals. But like I said, in a fight. Sorry if I couldn't explain that clearly in the novel. I will read through the chapters again and look at them in this regard and add this explanation to the story afterwards if necessary.
First of all, I want to thank you for your comment. Second, yes, I totally agree with you. The decision to make a connection with Annabelle's soul was a very hasty and dangerous one, and Neo doesn't yet know all the consequences. Possibly Annabelle could also get control over his soul, which could become dangerous for him in the future, especially with her personality of sacrificing herself for others when she learns what a monster he can be. At the same time, I want to portray Neo as a character who not only can act intelligently and rationally, but who can also be influenced by the few emotions that mean something to him (e.g. the memories of his mother). However, this will decrease as Neo develops in the future and overcomes some of his mental blocks. In addition, Neo is also a character who is willing to experiment and take risks, how else should he get new information about the virus and its abilities than by trying it out and making his own experiences. That's why I find Neo's decision relatively short-sighted and experimental, but at the same time understandable to a certain extent.
The deepest relationships Neo will ever develop are the hate bonds with his enemies in the future.
I can reassure you, that won't happen.
