If Grey was even able to practice using the extremely thick Shinsoo of the Eel's cage, then he would really grow at an abnormal rate there. Plus, because of Shinsoo, he wouldn't actually age, as his lifespan is in the hundreds or thousands of years. But the MC didn't adapapt to the TOG world yet, so he didn't conciously think of all this.
I have no plans right now, but I thought of potentially writing this with Subaru also having Return by Death (main), and another idea I have for Re Zero is something like a Servant Integration System, so the Main Character could gradually gain powers of a Servant starting from 1-10% , and might even unlock new servants through the story (due to having a Grail inside him). I thought of an OC with Mordred-like powers in a Tower of God world too (and even Mordred's actual spirit as a companion), since I'm writing a TOG fanfic now, but I decided on someone who gains his own powers and can simply control Lightning (in later season).
Author's note: This fanfiction is dropped. I stopped writing this story because the path it was taking really put me off and I just had no idea how to make it good as it was. Even though I had a bunch of chapters written ahead, it just isn't as good as I wanted and it was too hard/too late to correct the flaws now. Certain comments also didn't help, so I would rather just leave it be. If I were to continue something similar, I would probably just use this as reference, changing the background and timeline.
Author's Note: If I were to ever continue this, I would re-write it from scratch. The development of this fanfic did not quite work out as I wished to. I'm a bit ashamed of what's published and wish I could delete/hide it for a future re-writing, but I keep it around in this form since it's still decent and some people might want to read it, even if just for having Mordred. Keeping the comments for reference would also be useful to me. As it is, Mordred might seem like an Emilia simp, like some readeers pointed out. I don't thinks it's too bad, but I don't like the way it is also. As I came up with the idea of Mordred and Emilia actually being the pairing here, which wasn't the thing at the start, I thought of Mordred being more violent and rash as Mordred's spirit affects him, whereas both Mordred and Emilia would help each other grow (like when Mordred bursts into the loothouse and threatens everyone on first sight, but Emilia would want to negotiate first, calming him down), and it looked well in my mind at the time. But I removed these flaws from Mordred, making him more reasonable then the Heroic Spirit, so it turned into a pure one-sided help of Mordred to a foolish and useless half-elf, just like in the original. And Mordred choosing Emilia also came out quite suddenly with the current development, even though the reasons were good (her actual freaking OP powers and Mana, her potential and possibility of being related to Satella, even though she's naive and useless now). So, I'm not entirely proud of how the story turned out, but I'm leaving it here. To re-write, I would probably need to catch-up on hundreds of novel chapters of the original, but I don't feel like it right now. Honestly, I don't even like the Re:Zero verse that much. The main reason I chose it for a the background here was because the fantasy world and the magic system in Re Zero was so simple and basic that it made inserting a Fate character like Mordred very easy and fitting, and Mordred's abilities could be easily translated there.
I see it this way that the sword can't really see how much of his strength Mordred can bring out, but on the surface he seems very powerful because of his powerful body, huge mana pool, authority of envy and other factors. So we know that Mordred can't control his strength at this moment and isn't very strong, but in a way his innate strength and potential is higher than The Beast of the End or some of the swordsmen of this world snd that's what the sword judges.
Plasma Saber
I guess. An ordinary sword should only compare to a low-grade Rank 1 Gu, so it's naturally better to use a Rank 3 Gu than the finest steel sword. There's no need to carry a piece of metal around and no need for maintenance
The fact is that in every RI fanfic there is, the OC/MC allows FY to do his thing, fulfill his fate and aims for side benefits instead, aiming to stand out of FY's way or scared of FY/Heavens Will/Venerables. This might be the first one where FY is killed. In general in fanfictions, if the MC had a super op cheat, then it often happens that the og Protagonist becomes unimportant and can even be killed off, but without cheats I believe it rarely happens, if there is a huge gap in ability. I don't read much, but I hadnt seen many fanfictions when an ordinary transmigrator aims to kill the blessed protagonist in an established world right after coming there; they often go along with the flow and dont consider the possibility.
No limit on Nine Leaf Vitality Grass is too ridiculous, you can't imagine. Besides, so what?
he has zero connections and it isn't like the deal is bad
Ahh, some teasing is fine, but BNB is a true proud man. He's attatched to his male persona. Even without gentials he would still be a man and he would only hate Chi Yan if he keeps the Yang Gu away from him. Instead, I think it would be interesting if Bai Ning Bing was allowed to develop properly and was the Blazing Glory's partner in crime as they roam the world together.
I tried making Bai Ning Bing a female, but it doesn't work in this story; the introduction and the interactions were very weird. Here Bai Ning Bing is the same as in the original. ||| If the MC/OC was born in the same generation as BNB and grew up on Qing Mao Mountain, then it would be more fitting.
Interestingly, it's the exact same place and time that Fang Yuan met this bunch in the novel; afternoon of the same day in front of the Internal Affairs Hall.
These were his for months. Fire Arrow is his Vital Gu refined from Fire Pellet Gu. Enlarge Gu is only a Rank 1 Gu, ordinary and the MC owned it during the boar hunting assessment
At Rank 4 without doing anything, yes. The MC's reason to raise cultivation is to have more control and to gain more opportunities on Qing Mao Mountain. If the Dream Path Gu doesn't work, then there are other options to stall time for time and look for another way
Yeah, it's a bit interesting. The Dream Butterfly Immortal Gu would later be refined by Fang Yuan’s clone in the story. It's a bit my mistake, but I think I should highlight that in the story here the Butterfly Dream Gu is only a temporary name given by the MC casually, because the MC is a mortal and isn't sure of the Gu worm's true effect yet.
Ah, especially in this case it's true. But it's actually been used in the og translation fifteen times, so I defaulted to it lol.
