Especially in America I think. It happened to a friend of distant relatives of mine. He was accused and it cost him his job, his dignity and character, and without his wive’s trust, it may have even cost him his family. A few months later they found out that the girls were lying, but it was too little too late. He didn’t get his job back due to rumors and they were afraid of potential problems. Some people probably couldn’t look at him the same anymore, despite the accusations being false. I value everyone’s safety, and I know we need to be safe from sexually harmful people, but there’s so much power in a couple of words that it affects the safety of the males out there, and as a female, I also agree that it’s completely sexist.
