While Liu Sumeng was busy contemplating the curiosity of the talisman in his hand, a jacket was tossed at his face. He gave Yuan Xuelan a questioning gave that the younger refused to meet. He only sneered, "Wear this too. I enchanted it with some added protection." Liu Sumeng clutched the fabric and frowned. The white clothing was soft under his touch, obviously of the highest make with gold trimmings. Whimsical clouds and elegant cranes were carefully embroidered around the sleeves and ends of the jacket. It was no ordinary item and with Yuan Xuelan's enchantments skillfully woven in, it could easily fetch a price that would make a wealthy merchant dizzy.

In the end, he could only grumble in complaint and glare at the tea as though it was some deadly poison. If he continued to drink tea with Liu Sumeng, Yuan Xuelan feared that one day he might actually die. At this rate, he really will!

In the small library at Wangyun Peak, Yuan Xuelan had abandoned the books and instead was now lying on the wooden ground, basking in the sunlight and crept inside from the wide windows. There was a book opened on his chest but he'd long forgotten the contents and even used a few more titles as a pillow to prop up his head. It was a perfect position for napping but instead, he was awake, thinking about how he would approach Liu Sumeng and that dreaded apology he had to make.

It's written,"...a whole dumpling Liu..." but itshould be something like "...whole dumpling in Liu...".
"You know, A-Chao. Ever since you were a baby, you've been really good at stealing the thunder from your Dage here. You beat me at everything, from studying to swordsmanship, cultivating and even marriage. And now you're beating me with your wild adventures, no one is even asking me how I've been and what I've been up to. A-Chao, do you even understand how I- urmph-!" Liu Sumeng stuck a whole dumpling Liu Suye's mouth to shut him up. Liu Suye chattering turned into grumbling angry chewing.
