Yeah Eve is awesome. Try Lord of the Mysteries. It has a slow and sort of unbelievable start (considering that Eve's novels have no goldfinger for the MC), but MC's goldfinger is not useful for fights, and the battles require smarts. The others don't have English names, or have some other problems, but Lord of the Mysteries should satisfy most of your criterias. It does not have cultivation though, but there is a power system.

The MC's name is Compass Carburettor... And the author uses the name instead of pronouns everywhere. It makes it real hard to ignore the name. Also after a while, the story loses my interest and becomes all sorts of confusing.
