Well it’s kinda of a spoiler is I say it right now. But Uriel did say that all of Alex’s memories would be wiped if he went back so basically it was regression with no meaning.

No Jay wasn’t, nobody went back in time except Uriel how knew a little about the future. Uriel was supposed to meet with Alex of the present but she ended up with Jay.
