OK. We won't talk about the very tired tropes of transmigrating into high school. We won't talk about the exceedingly tired and annoying 'beautiful sister not related by blood' trope. We won't talk about the setting of trying to prepare everyone ONLY for waking up a class....when in fact they should be preparing them generally for that but focusing more on regular subjects as well. We won't talk about how they always seem to throw them into some sort of 'trial' right after getting their class without any practical training on their specific class. We won't talk about how they talk about only having had it start X (23 in this case) years ago but somehow they have all this knowledge and old institutions... We won't talk about how they go to universities but never seem to attend class and instead just go level up. Let's talk about the author's presumption that a 'healer' would not be desirable. He hasn't said that this world has resurrection, he hasn't said that they have some sort of Norselike religion where they want an honorable/glorious death in battle. So, why in the world would anyone not take 'safety' in a group? The author acts like people are playing a video game with the most severe consequence being respawn with a penalty.... And 'killing each other is allowed' and "Once you kill a person, you'll obtain all that person's points" ? So, they are basically the most barbaric and ruthless society ever? School offers you SS resources and then when you get there says nope, just A.... - Do you: -- leave and go to the school that offered you S-Rank resouces -- stay for no apparent reason If you are normal you leave this school you don't have any attachment to and go instead to the one offering S-Rank....but the MC of course is an idiot, so he chooses to stay.

Yes.....and then most of them have a 'sister not related by blood' who just happens to be beautiful, etc...

I haven't read it, but I suspect that your pig vs porcupine is probably a translator error (or MTL). I've seen it be translated like that (erroneously) before. Probably because boars have 'bristles' that could be kind of like a porcupine's. But that's just a guess.

Agreed. He spends far too much time in combat or involving himself in things other than the research he claims he's so interested in.

OK. So, I've read quite a significant amount of this. First...it needs a tag for MPOV (Multiple point of view). Second, this guy jumps into a relationship and does the instant boyfriend thing head over heels...it's really not in line with someone who is supposed to be a loner and used to being in hiding. Third, this MC is the most NAIVE former world class assassin I can imagine, he starts telling all sorts of people about his system. Even though he doesn't really need to and probably shouldn't.

I tried it. Unfortunately I didn't read the tags closely enough, so I didn't know it was actually a sex novel. As for the rest of the novel, it starts out as a mage, but the author seems bent on forcing him to become an assassin type. The rational basis for which is allegedly to increase his survivability in close quarters. Which makes no sense to me, if you wanted to do that you would pick knight or warrior type as your 2nd class if you had the opportunity instead of a close in damage class that also eats up your mana. Naturally there is some plot armor to make it seem like a good idea though. Anyway, after around chapter 62 I got tired of fast forwarding through the sex scenes and dropped out.

Yeah right? He forgets he's a mage and decides he wants to be melee....even though using melee skills also takes mana apparently. I can understand wanting to increase his survival chances in close quarters, but if he wanted to increase that he should have taken something like knight or warrior. Assassins/rogues are for dealing a lot of close quarters damage...not surviving hits. If this guy really had as much real combat experience as the author suggests then he would know that.

Disgusting. If you are gonna do magic, go all the way! Picking silly melee types. Such a waste. Apparently you want yet another melee mage.

Yay Mage! If you pick up a sword and decide to be a melee person later then you are dead to me!!!
