You are only saying that because you don't understand the loneliness it brings. It pains to be alone, and have no family to have loved. Even the thought of being all alone, when I finished college, is taking a toll on me when I thought I would live alone all by myself. Waking up in the morning, eating breakfast, going to work, finishing work, rinse and repeat that cycle. It is a sad and also horrifying thought.
So, for all his ambition and fascination with his magic, all he wanted deep down was to have a family, a home, and live comfortably while relishing in their love.
