When the villainess trope first came around, I thought it would be a lot of otome-based nonsense, but it's turned out to be a rather fun sub-genre. Nearly every title I've gone through in it has been enjoyable, so I found myself wanting to create my own. That being said, if I had to pick one work that provided inspiration, it'd probably be "The Fed Up Office Lady Wants to Serve the Villainess." It's a fairly new title (I think), but the concepts and plot progression of the story really kicked my imagination into gear, allowing me to come up with the story idea I have planned for the future.
The hope is to one day have a print version (though it's a long and expensive process), and there would be artwork in those physical volumes.
Thanks. Fixed.
Whoops. Thanks for pointing that out. Fixed.
To be honest, she should be a little taller, but we could just never seem to get the height right, so I just went with it with the artist. If you go on Wattpad and look at the Volume Two cover, that's more accurate to how tall Michi should be.
I'll probably make announcements on here, Wattpad and my Twitter. As for when it will debut... it's hard to say. If all goes well, hopefully before spring of next year, but as I mentioned, the first volume is already starting to get fairly long (and I'm not even that far in yet p_p). So the best I can say is I'm hoping for sooner rather than later.
Whoops. That's not intentional. Thanks for pointing it out. Fixed.
Oddly enough, I was contacted by Webnovel just the other day about a contract. However, I have no intention of signing one with them, as I've heard some pretty bad things. Ideally, I'd like to make a bona fide light novel version of this story, both in print and digital.
I think the problem here is that on Webnovel, there's no option for italics. I also post this story on Wattpad, so all of the internal dialogue is italicized, making it easier to tell the difference.
Whoops. Thanks for pointing this out. I'll make the correction.
