trying to recall, but fairly sure that's incorrect. he ACQUIRED the types of magic he has and can later acquire more, in theory. he's not limited; just his current status is affected by what he currently has.
Although all Drow are Dark Elves, not all Dark Elves are Drow. In fact, most are not...
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Let's backup a moment and consider what just happened. Did you know that if an editor of a publishing house read this sudden 360 degree, going-to-give-you-whiplash-with-plot/story-destroying-useless-concepts, the editor would toss the manuscript in the refused pile, a.k.a.: the trashcan. The MC has already moved on from the girlfriend at the beginning of the story. suddenly bringing her up in a point of time and place completely unrelated to her is usually a sign of the author becoming bored with the book. it's like watching a movie about Santa Claus based in the 1700-1800 hundreds. Then, BAM!, a NASCAR racecar suddenly runs him over out of nowhere. it's completely unrelated to the story at that point in time. it just... doesn't work. there's no lead-in, no build-up, no flow of concept. it's just suddenly there. as if the author accidentally mixed the manuscripts from two completely different books together.
wow. he speaks with his feet...
scorpions are not insects, but similar to arachnids (I forget the name of the group). most have eight legs, not including the claws. they also have several other features that insects don't possess.
Systema? curious. does the author speak Spanish? Or accidentally use another term for what is also called a Stim Shot in medicine/military?
nice! shame that his stats are incomplete, though.
