Isn't it the same goal of the "world"? To exterminate all of humankind? If the heros lost then the genocide would be done to there civilians. The parents are explaining these heavy issues but won't go into specifics of why the world wants to exterminate them. If the heros wanted peace on both sides then they would have to enforce it themselves and from what I have read so far that means going to war with everyone. You have really created a chaotic and complex world.

lol it's a race war with gods and there minions on one side and the world with it's minions on the other, what did they think was going to happen? Could they not see what happened before? So far it seems to be a cyclical war and her mother is over 100 yrs old with an educated background at that.

that's the thing it's reincarnation which is rebirth and in a world of magic they would not just jump to that conclusion since they would have no knowledge of transmigration. Plus it's not like her personality changed from one day to another.
