easiest way is to just type in Google the year 1943 ww2( and the subject,i.e ship transport, military ranks and companies, the jobs and what that job entailed) the readers have no clue what your unit is. are you infantry, airborne, supply, armor unit( tanks) bc depending on which unit your with depends on what task you'll be assigned. which then decides what roll you would be doing in battle. ( thanks would generally be assigned as backup for ground troops ( but a fuckton of red tape to shoot anything that aren't in line of sight troops)if your transportation unit your job was to drive everywhere to supply the front lines,(super dangerous back then) administration your platoon would be stuck doing dumb minimal reports of reports ,drills, would hardly ever see a fight. that's just the in your face military stuff. but if you want the how soldiers would react or behave and know about the stupid shit NCOs and officers make their soldiers do then you'll need to ask a vet. it takes alot more then what you describe in basic for regular soldiers to respect him as a leader(minus the guys who helped the murder) you could always ask me if you dont know anyone. I may get some shit wrong about ww2 but all the dumb shit soldiers put up with I can give 100%facts

ok its pretty good... now for all my fellow veterans.... I have to warn you. they are a lot of flaws in the military chapters. to give a example the mc is a 2nd Lt and acts like his platoon is a company and he's the company

they're basically 2 types of ships used during ww2 to transport soldiers. ..military ships and civilian ships(cruise ships for example) were commandeered for war use.both had soldiers assigned to operate the ship and GUNS! the civilian transports were guarded by military vessels bc civilian ships didnt have much in armaments.... basically your platoon (and the other platoons in your company) would be basically useless. also you keep acting like the boss but your really not. you still have the company first sergeant and company commander in immediate charge of you. they could put you and your platoon on canteen duty or worse admin and supply
