Unlikable MC. Not a farming novel, just bait for some reason.
My perspective: So the zombie apocalypse starts, MC gets to see health bars and when he kills zombies he gets some hp and a bit of strength because he got electrocuted while playing a game? It doesn't make sense why that happens but w/e just turn the brain off. At the moment it's not a very strong ability , and not fun to read but maybe it gets better. Character personality wise it's probably even worse than the worldbuilding. Everyone exists just for the sake of the story. MC is there for self insert, MC dead friend's wife for annoyance and a bit of sexual tension, and there's like one more character that's there for mc to learn lockpicking. Not much feeling involved in these characters, but it's the apocalypse so it makes sense maybe?? Worldbuilding isn't that bad I guess, since the plot takes place in irl China, so in a way that also means there's no worldbuilding... Idk. No racism yet but I'd expect it after some time. Worst part is that the MC kills like 8 zombies in his apartment complex, in around 25-28 chapters. And that's it. I feel like I wasted my time. Maybe if you're really into zombies you might like this more, but it's definitely not for me.
Indeed, after chapter ~400 the author wants to end as soon as possible. Although not even close to perfect, at least those 400 chapters had some fun in them, but afterwards I just felt the need to finish the book and be done with it, since that's what the author wanted as well... I don't regret reading this book, just feels like wasted potential in so many ways ...
Unexpectedly good, being less a fantasy and more so realistic. Felt like I was reading a satirical piece of reality, where people do anything for clout and money, going too far sometimes. That way, they will destroy their own lives, or maybe someone else will.Sometimes it felt way too real to even call this fantasy, especially when presenting the moment of the victims death. The biggest thing was probably presenting the deaths in detail only to end talking about it the moment they died. It didn't feel good especially the first few times.Although comedy is present throughout the first 40 chapters, it disappears when it comes to presenting the deaths, and it takes an objective perspective, showcasing their downfall without much emotion.Nonetheless, it does leave room for many possible paths that the plot could take, by either foreshadowing some things or just slowly inserting new information as the MC evolves. Good read that leaves some room for thinking. Not perfect but the world does feel alive; and the hint of realism of the chronically online people and other realistic problems that people can have, leading to irreparable damage (death...) is definitely nice.As for the translation, it isn't the best but understandable...
MC is a bit weird, which feels a bit forced but a bit of backstory can help. Overall can be fun but a few things are annoying. Recommended only if there's more than 40 chapters.
Nice book, not perfect but fun .........
Decent, could be better in some aspects. Too bad it won't be picked most likely. No romance not too OP MC.
Feels like there's missing information like the author forgot to write everything or the translation messed things up
Could be better. Feels empty and I don't think it's worth it to wait for more.
Very enjoyable, nothing annoying, slow paced yet mc isn't too weak, progress ion is fun, which I like because I've read way too many books where the main character skips levels entirely, which makes their existence pointless.
