Mediocre is the best way to describe everything, not bad but not good either. -Demons don't feel demonic in any way beyond appearance. -MC is just kindoff doing stuff without motivation or any compelling traits. -General origin plot/world is the same as many of other novels in this site but doesn't actually make as much sense in context as humanity isn't in desperate need. -Supporting characters are forgettable.

Very good novel with immersive descriptions. Music is integrated in a very interesting way to the story, which I found pleasantly surprising. The only real downside for me was the pacing at the very end, lots of time skips.

The best cuthulian novel I have read, beats out the actual lovecraft stories imo. Characters are smart and memorable. The world is well crafted and interesting. The horrors are actually scary. The story is good and coherent.
