No doubt resources will be needed to improve one’s self, resources that require huge effort and luck to obtain, they are almost certainly not going to fall out of the sky. 3. There has already been some indication that a cultivator if they don’t improve can find themselves dying by old age as their lifespan is used up faster than they increase it by improving their cultivation. If you want to see something like this, there is a novel called the Lazy King, which is set in a world where if your sin is Sloth then you can improve yourself by sleeping. The MC ended up sleeping for eternity in a secluded place while a puppet he made once out of boredom ends up making him one of the most powerful Demon Lords.

Yea, when they say atomic bomb, that could mean a bomb anywhere from kilotons of TNT equivalent nuclear bombs, or megatons of TNT equivalent thermonuclear/hydrogen bomb as I doubt these cultivators would know or care about the difference. I kinda wonder where he was cultivating when he got nuked.
