She's not an uninvited guest, she was literally the only person invited to come here by this supervillain.
It's an amateur author, so he accidentally wrote the same thing twice
That's why you have your system that helps you identify superhumans just by looking at them
It's only bizarre to the Chinese, because of their one-child policy that had been the norm for the last few decades. To a western audience, 9 children is quite big, but not really that unnatural.
It's still only a fictional concept inside the fictional works of this fictional work.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "qi (from earth)", but here's my understanding of this world's power systems: 1. Martial Arts - despite the name, this should be the method that relies on cultivating Inner Qi. It focuses not on the muscles and body, but on generating Inner Qi within the body that can be manifested externally as Sword Qi, or as Fist or Palm Qi, and so on. The Grandmaster and Great Grandmaster realms are concerned with this method. 2. Body Cultivation - this focuses on improving the body and muscles, using medicinal herbs and powerful tonics to draw out their natural qi and convert it into Blood Qi. Blood Qi cannot be projected externally, but instead it strengthens the body from the inside, increasing muscle strength, defense, as well as healing ability. 3. Local Immortal Cultivation - this method is unique to this world, and involves using the immortal bone inside the body to absorb the spiritual energy of nature into the body and turn it into Spiritual Qi. I don't remember if this novel has specified the exact name of this Qi yet, but generally at different stages it'll be called things like Yuan Qi, True Qi, Immortal Qi, and so on. It's basically an improved version of the Inner Qi of Martial Arts, but can also be used to cast spells. 4. MC's Immortal Cultivation - this seems to be a qi cultivation method from earth that is also compatible with this world, and doesn't need the Immortal Bone. It involves absorbing the Yin and Yang qi from sunlight and moonlight and turning them into a versatile spiritual energy that can be used both to supplement Blood Qi to help body cultivation, as well as improve the body and cast immortal spells. This system uses completely different cultivation realms from the local Immortal cultivation method. All four of these power systems are independent of each other, and a person can choose to cultivate any combination of them. For example, most martial artists do a combination of the Inner Qi and Body Cultivation, while the immortal sects only focus on immortal cultivation. The MC is combining his Earth's Immortal Cultivation with Body Cultivation, because in the initial stages he can progress much faster with Body Cultivation than with Immortal Cultivation.
"Secret guard" doesn't literally mean a group that works in the shadows. Rather, it refers to the strongest corps of soldiers with high education that work directly under the emperor. They're also often called the Embroidered Guards in China. They're not supposed to be ninjas and spies. The "Secret" in their name means that they're the group most likely to know about the emperor's secret wishes and directly carry out his will.
