Although this formula can work wonders if accompanied by solid story and character development, that, my friends, is where the main problem lies. The story is lackluster. There is no growth in the characters' personalities, and it adheres to the tired trope of a feeble princess (our protagonist, Garland) perpetually unable to defend themselves, constantly reliant on the prince (the dark-haired Duke) for salvation. I kid you not, not once did Garland exhibit an ounce of assertiveness. Save your breath, for the evidence is plain to see—Garland relies solely on the Duke's heroics. And let us not forget the incessant sexualization of poor Garland. Yes, as I ventured back through this manhua or manhwa, I discovered countless occasions where the black-haired Duke could not resist disrobing our protagonist, engaging in inappropriate fondling, and completely disregarding Garland's right to consent. Truly, a veritable "wow, fish bone” indeed (in a negative way). I am aware that much of the literary world in this app caters to, shall we say, the more amorous readers. So, if you seek a pathetic protagonist unable to fend for oneself, persistently rescued by their love interest, devoid of character development for any of the cast, set within an unfinished and abandoned narrative that is unlikely to see future updates, (yes, I know it reaches up to 80+ chapters in non translated version.) then, reader, this work is precisely tailored to your tastes.
