23 Chapter 23.Breaker of Chains

All things considered, Hiro didn't feel much different. He could tell something was fundamentally different about his body but he couldn't put his finger on it. He felt lighter as if a huge burden had been lifted off him.

"I don't know what that friend of yours did to you but you're different. It feels as if your body is empty but could swallow the whole world's magic. Do.you feel any different boy?"

"Not really if I'm honest. It feels like I lost weight or something I feel lighter."

"You were able to survive the hottest fire known to exist."

"No ,again I didn't survive."

"The point is I sense something different about you so how about a small sparring match?"

"Do we have time for this?"

"My real body has been chained to that mountain for thousands of years a few days more won't kill me."

"Alright, just one match I want to see if I've gotten any stronger since Griamore."

"I'm not going to hold back boy."

"Bring it old man."

Hiro jumps off the second floor of the inn and makes his way to a forest outside of Dwarvenguard. Theo teleports to his location.

"You can start old man."

"Very well. BLACK HOLE GIGA IMPACT!!!!"

Theo rushes Hiro and Hiro just stands still. Theo is about to hit Hiro and Hiro smiles.

"Too slow OLD MAN!!!!!"

Hiro blocks he hit with his hand and tries to counter.

"Times two."

Hiro is blown through the air but easily regains his composure.

"Why are you still such a monster?"

"I said no holding back didn't I?"

"Ignition fists: Kaen "

Hiro's ignition fists were different than before. The flames seemed calmer but the heat was incredibly potent. The intensity of his flames had gone up by factors of hundreds.

"I'm not holding back either!"

Hiro jumps up and spins towards Theo. He kicks from above and is blocked by Theo. Hiro tries to blast Theo with his flames but Theo grabs his leg and throws him into a tree. The flames had grazed the tree by accident creating a slash mark in the tree but without leaving a single scorch mark. It looked as if part of the tree had been erased. Hiro picks himself back up without burning anything even though his hands are still on fire.

"I'm just getting warmed up."

Theo thinks to himself after seeing such strange effects of fire.

"Interesting! This boy's fire is more powerful than before but it doesn't burn anything he doesn't intend to burn. I've never seen fire magic like this."

"Ignition Fists: Kaen full body "

Hiro was enveloped by his flames making a flame armor around his hands, feet, and torso. "

Theo prepares to use more intense magic.

"Wind Magic: Tornado. Water Magic: Tsunami.Storm magic: Roaring Typhoon!!!!!!!"

Theo's magic mixed creating a gigantic water whirlpool pulling Hiro in and throwing him wildly around. However, Hiro is unfazed.

"Flame Shot."

Hiro shoots his flames upwards pulling the water and wind up towards the sky. Hiro spreads his flame shot making the whirlpool evaporate and leaving behind a mist. Hiro's full body armor could be seen through the mist and appeared to look like a demon to Theo.

"That's enough my boy. You've done very well. If I'm honest I just used up most of my magic in that last attack so I'm spent. This is your victory."

"Finally!!!!"

Hiro excitedly jumps up in the air smiling as he had never done before. He blasts fire downwards and spins upwards making his magic turn into a mini-tornado and released his flames and shines like the sun.

"This boy might be able to do it. I might be free after all this time. "

Hiro floats back down and notices his fire still radiating around him. The fire looked like it was alive the way it surrounded his body.

"This fire is different somehow. Before my fire felt destructive like it was screaming out with every bit of my anger. It feels almost gentle now like it wouldn't burn anything I didn't want to be burned."

Hiro looks at his hand and looks at a flower and blasts it with a flame shot. Everything around the flower was burned but the flower itself was untouched.

"Fire scorches the earth burning everything in its wake. But the sun provides life for all things. Your fire isn't just meant for destruction anymore boy. It's very possible that your flames could bring life as well."

"I feel like there's so much depth to this fire. Before I kept feeling my peak but at this moment it feels immeasurable. I can use this for something else. You said that it's possible that my magic could bring life right?"

"Well yes but..."

"Could I bring my family ba..."

Theo raises his hand to stop his words.

"Once someone has died no one has the magic to bring them back to life the way that they were."

"But what about me? You brought me back from the brink of death and kaen brought me back from the dead."

"Your situation was different I merely repaired a broken body that was still alive. And this Kaen whatever brought you back when you weren't in the underworld. Not even the gods have the power to bring back someone after they have passed on. The only way you can bring back someone from the dead is before the soul leaves the body and not taken to the underworld by Thanatos. But death eventually comes for most beings so get the idea of bringing back your family out of your head. Let sleeping dogs lie."

"Oh, I see."

Hiro was disheartened by the news that he couldn't bring his family back from the dead.

"However, The Omnigod is said to have powers beyond anything even the gods can fathom so there's no telling what he could do."

"Well, then I'll just talk to this Omnigod and tell him to bring back my family by force if I have to."

"Unfortunately boy that is not possible. The previous Omnigod has been gone for about a thousand years now. "

"How can a being as powerful as you say just be gone?"

"Well, I heard some ramblings about what may have happened to the previous Omnigod but there's no telling how true they are. Some say he turned into a primordial being and the others say he was crushed under the weight of his magic and was swallowed up by it."

"How could anything be swallowed by magic?"

"The nature of magic is still foreign outside of the basic elements so there's no telling what that much magic might do. Regardless the Omnigod is gone now."

"What about Zeus isn't he the leader of the gods or something? He has to be like an Omnigod right?"

"How do I explain this? At the beginning of creation, the nature of magic created the primordials and the gods. Our world Altera is one of many that are inhabited by many other gods and beings. The Omnigod stands atop them all. So in terms, you might understand if Zeus were a general then the previous Omnigod was a King."

"Wow! What kind of monster do you have to be to become an Omnigod?"

"One that gives up everything for power. Enough talk of this for now. I'll tell you how to reach my body."

"Aren't you coming with me?"

"No. I have put my essence inside this golem for a couple of hundred years in order to sustain this body my magic had to be restricted to not destroy this body. The closer this golem gets to my actual body then more unintended mana begins to flow inside the golem. It would be destroyed far before we reached my body together. I'm counting on you to free me before fully releasing my essence. I wouldn't be able to make another golem this powerful for a hundred years. I'm counting on you Hiro."

"I think that's one of the only times you've ever used my name."

"I have faith in your abilities boy. Head toward the east to the brightest star. Look for where the mountains touch the sky there you will find a place surrounded in primordial flames as well as my body chained to a boulder."

"Why can't you just teleport me there like you did to Griamore?"

"Zeus made a barrier warded off outside magic so no one can just teleport to my location. The only way to me is the wall of flame created by the primodial flame. It's unsealable by magic which was fine because no one could pass through it. Well no one until now."

"Well what about closer to the mountain then?"

"I could send you close to the mountain but where exactly there's no telling. My magic could send you really close to my location or further away. It's more of a guarantee if you head there yourself. It shouldn't be too much of a trouble since you can fly can't you?"

"Yeah I found out during my fight in Griamore. But how did you know that?"

"That magic item I gave you let me see everything. You don't think I wouldn't watch over you to make sure you didn't run away or something did you?"

"You are really just a perverted old man aren't you?"

Theo hits Hiro in the head out of anger. They both burst into laughter.

"It's been a while since you've saved me. You taught me how to be strong so that I could get my revenge. I don't think I could have made it this far or even had something to live for without you. Come tomorrow I'll pay it all back a hundred fold. I give you your freedom even if it cost me my life."

"Don't go killing yourself off so soon boy. How can I be you advisor if you're dead?"

Hiro smiles.

"You're right."

Hiro puts out his fist toward Theo.

"One hundred fold."

Theo bumps his fist back.

"One hundred fold."

Theo and Hiro head back to the inn. Hiro checks on Nasir and Angelica. He heads to his room and lays in bed thinking about his journey to free Theo.

"Can I really free him with my power?"

Hiro clenches his fist.

"No I will free him I must."

Hiro falls asleep and wakes up early in the morning. He leaves a letter for Angelica and Nasir explaining he'll be back soon. He grabs his things and leaves Dwarvenguard headed east to the brightest start. He blasts fire out of his hands and feet propelling himself into the air. He shoots forward with such velocity he clears the forest outside Dwarvenguard in seconds. He flys in the clouds seeing the terrains of Alctora. He's on his way to the true body of Prometheus.
