rising pines

Dan slowly walked out of the building and went back on the road after a while Dan reached a settlement that was not in the original game called rising pines after selling his old pistol and buying stimpacks and was about to go in to the weapons shop to buy a weapon repair kit ammo and some jet but just as he approached the dealer Dan saw the merchant arguing with a middle aged man

"you need to help us, we won't be able to survive without it" said the clearly agitated voice

"sorry but this is too much risk for my liking. it's just business"

the man stormed out of the shop slaming the door behind

"what do you need kid make it quick I'm about to pack up and get out of this hellhole"

Dan quickly bought everything and got out and sawthe man was talking to a woman

"I don't know what I'm going to do Claire we might have to leave this place"

",uhh.. is everything ok?"

"who's asking"

"I'm Dan Im a mercenary"

"mercenary huh?.. how much"

"o..oh depends" Dan quickly got flustered not expecting for his bluff to be called out

"how about a yao-gui how much to kill one"

"a few hundred caps and supplies?'

"kinda pricey but without anymore guns and ammo to buy that damn bears going to to destroy the whole settlement If you pull it off I'll be more than happy to pay you off but I gotta warn you that bastard takes bullets like it's some sugar bombs. he's a tough son of a bich"

"ok I'll do it do you know where it is when it's not in the settlement?"

"yeah one of the caravans saw it going into a cave about half a mile away wait I'll show you where it is on the map" the man ran to his house to get a map

Dan was outside of the cave Wich was in the side of a moderately sized hill. dan placed a mine he bought before coming here and placed raw bighorner meat over the mine so it completely covered it and then he ran up above the cave entrance

it didn't take long for the Yao GUI smelled the meat and went towards to eat it as soon as he got to the mine it exploded crippling the leg of it Dan immediately started to shoot it with the hunting rifle the Yao GUI immediately turns around with rage and started to limp towards dan as fast as it could 9/

"shit Dan got up and started retreating slowly while still shooting it's head or torso

the Yao GUI swung it's paw onto Dan he held his hand up Wich resulted in him getting launched back few feet and huge gashes in the metal arms

Dan ran back as far as he could so he could get some distance and took out the overachiever and shot some plasma strengthened bullets witch unlike normal bullets witch barely won't through its thought hide the plasma bullets went in much easily and the pushback of the bullets hitting him slowed it down

but the Yao GUI still got closer and bit into Dan's forearm Dan put the pistol over the bears temple and shot it clean through its brain killing the Yao GUI

Dan skinned the bear and went into its cave finding dozens of skeletons empty soda bottles destroyed guns and ammo Dans arms suddenly blew out a a lot of sparks and started moving very slowly Dan waited for a few hours for the arm get back into usable condition and the went back to the town
