Chapter 8

The tension could be seen on Sachi's face, even if only a little, a barely concealed anger in her eyes that hid behind the fine hair. Sachi couldn't hold herself back anymore. Not only that, behind all the strange feelings she have, there was something that had been bugging her ever since. A strange feeling, tension and a bit of nervousness that almost came close to being scared. What is on her mind is the Veda. It had been a long time since she had left the Veda and the fleet.

Even though there were many defenders protecting her, Sachi still trusted herself and Navile more.

Then, suddenly behind all the strange feelings, there was a curiosity about Navile that never resurfaced. Could it be that he returned to the fleet and found trouble there?

While floating in the air, Sachi prepared her next move. The bluish-white light emanating from the magic activation pattern on her right hand grew brighter and ice particles spread around her. Sachi pointed her right hand which was covered in ice particles down, then made a steep ice floor above the giant spider monster.

She spread her legs wide, then strengthened her stance and slid freely on the ice steps that continued to lengthen and aim at the back of the huge spider monster that had fallen back into place.

Sachi was slightly surprised by the monster's movement. sometimes the monsters are very slow, but also can attack consecutively and very fast. Could it be that the monster was gathering its strength again?

According to Sachi's estimation, this huge monster had a limit when it came to attacking. Every major attack must have a limit. The greater the damage inflicted and the stronger the attack, the smaller the number of attacks that can be done. Successive attacks are definitely limited to a certain number.

Even though she had only seen once. the giant spider monster that became her enemy only did two consecutive attacks. The first and second attacks have a fairly short time span. After the monster spit out a black liquid that could turn into a tiny spider, it immediately fell silent like a lazy creature. As is happening right now. It was likely that the giant spider was refilling the black liquid within its body.

Sachi slid swiftly across the ice floor. Without reducing her speed, Sachi turned to Elysion and found her lightning strike had ended. She raised her right hand and summoned her wand again.

"Elysion!" she half shouted.

The Elysion wand, which had just finished its order, immediately moved towards Sachi, as if it were a living being that the owner could give orders to. The crystal that was on the part of Elysion's wand glowed yellowish white when Sachi held it.

Sachi's gaze grew sharper, the target of which was the back of the huge monster. She was sure the red crystal that was her enemy's weak point was hiding behind the head. Without stopping any of her magic, Sachi prepared lightning magic to attack. While the ice particles were still moving freely under her feet.

"Gotcha!" Sachi flashed a sly smile, then swung her magic level forward. As expected, the enemy's weak point was hiding behind a large head and covered in black feathers.

However, things weren't as easy as she had planned. The crystal spider monster suddenly stood up. Her originally bent legs suddenly straightened and Sachi's height was only half the monster's height. Then, moving at a speed that Sachi hadn't imagined.

The monster turned its body and opened its mouth wide. Showing teeth the size of a baby in front of Sachi. Sachi vaguely saw black liquid moving from inside the monster's mouth as if it was scrambling to vomit.

Within seconds, Sachi changed her magic type from lightning to ice. The ice particles that appeared moved rapidly, spreading out in front of Sachi. Become a barrier between Sachi and the spider monster. Sachi created several layers of thick ice walls to block the monster's black liquid.

Sachi couldn't imagine herself being hit by the monster's attack from this close range. Surely her body will melt with the black liquid that can burn her body.

Sachi kicked the ice step with her right foot, then shot back and made a new foothold. The five layers of ice wall that she had created to protect herself were shattered one by one by the black liquid from the spider monster.

"Hmm… it turns out that the attack limit is only two times," Sachi muttered confidently. After seeing the movement of the monster spewing out black liquid twice in quick succession, she was able to predict when the monster would move again and launch an attack.

"You managed to surprise me, ugly monster!" she shouted angrily.

The ice wall that Sachi had made had been completely shattered by the pitch-black liquid. Sachi waited for a moment while observing the spider monster's movements, then her attention was drawn to the black liquid that fell to the ground.

Sachi swung the Elysion wand towards the falling pitch-black liquid when she saw the change. She was sure that a spider monster that had a bomb in its stomach would emerge from the puddle of black liquid. She planned to destroy the black liquid before completing its transformation.

"It's really troublesome if that bomb-carrying spider monster appears again."

Sachi chuckled again. The initial calculations for clearing all the intruders were totally off the mark. Then with a swift movement she inflicts an ice-type attack to freeze her target. At the same time, her attention was diverted when she felt a dimensional gate opening again.
