9 Let's have some fun

She always found Victor around him but this is the first time she is looking at him this close. Victor was a handsome man, he looks stunning with his inky hairs, golden eyes and strong masculine jawline.

She has seen a lot of girls and maids peeping and fawning when he came after his swimming in the lake in only trousers showing his six-pack abs.

When she got engaged to him, she thought it's just an arranged marriage between them. Because of his father's growing wealth and trade all over the country, her father tried to join forces to make his stance strong for the future.

Yes, he often came to meet her, but he always asked her about her training to be the future queen. So she thought he was also among one of those who crave for power.

That's why she increased her efforts for being a queen. She didn't want to disappoint him as a future wife. She always thought she would live like her mother alone in a chamber, while having a formal kind of relationship, no matter how breathtaking her husband was.

And maybe he will get married to any other girl whom he loves also. But this new Victor is so foreign to her and his words, They sound impossible for their world which is full of politics and debauchery.

He looks much more handsome today. Like his golden eyes are shining. She is so mesmerized that she didn't hear what he is saying anymore.

When she heard a loud "No." It brings her out of her trance. She looked at the gate and found Valerie fuming, don't know why but she is never friendly with her.

But for a change she agrees with her. she is not ready to share her room with him.This type of intimacy and words make her feel flustered. Like she is not the wise Cynthia the people know.

She even stuttered today. Oh god!! What happened to her, so when Valerie denied them to live in a room together, she agreed right away.

"Of course, we are not living in the same room, you don't have to make so much noise for that Vale." Cynthia said averting her eyes from Victor.

"It's Valerie, and I am not talking about you. I am talking about this scheming man standing behind you" she said looking at her brother sharply.

"Fine. Don't look at me like that. I was just joking okay. So what's the plan? Do ladies want to take rest today or explore the city where we are going to live? It's the first time you came here." He asked looking at Cynthia.

"But it's already evening" replied Cynthia looking at the watch.

"Duh! It's not your palace Cyn, its city. Here the nightlife is the best thing to see. We can go for a karaoke night, or a club or bar. The casino also goes well with me. You are rich enough to gamble after all." Valerie said rubbing her hands in anticipation.

"No one is going to gamble Vale, let's go to the club. There we can also enjoy drinking and dancing and also listen to some gossip around, maybe we even get a clue. So go get ready girls, let's have some fun." he said encouraging Cynthia.

When Cynthia got ready, she wore a black-linen off-shoulder knee-length dress. And made a messy bun with only solitaire earrings and pendant with a simple clutch and heels.

When she looked at the mirror Victor was already standing at the door, and looking at her intensely.

"You are looking beautiful, I think you should change because I don't want any other men to look at you and increase my competition. I am already at loss how could I get someone so beautiful by my side."

He said when she turned to look at her. He touched her cheeks then neck and slowly above the cut of her off shoulder dress. That makes her breath hitched. Her whole body turned crimson. But again the third wheel came and stopped them.

"What are you guys doing?" she looked at her brother accusingly.

"Waiting for you of course." He said rolling his eyes. God he needs to lock his sister in her room.

"Okay then, let's go." She said holding Cynthia's hand and dragging her away with herself. I can't believe her highness made me a watchdog Of this sheep who is ready to get slaughtered every time.

She still remembered she got the call that the empress was asking for her Audience. When she reached her highness ordered her to keep an eye on both.

She said that she trusts them. But their city has some rules and Cynthia is going to be a queen so her image is very important and some history shouldn't repeat itself. Which she doesn't understand.

The overall point is she has two missions now. One to keep these love birds away and second to find that Goddamn prince.
