I wasn't surprised knowing that Liam had something to do with Elijah's woman, I mean the hatred in their eyes toward each other was more than clear.

But still, it doesn't explain why would Liam kill her, I deep inside want to know, but I can't force Elijah to talk. Especially when it seemed that he's not over her yet.

I kept quiet, not uttering a word until Elijah started talking by himself. "She was my everything ... you know!''

I can feel the pain in his words "I loved her ... She was like you … Smart, beautiful, young and full of life.'' He swallowed the pain in his heart then added with a fake smile in his face,

"The first time we met, she was just a human … I thought that she was a fool roaming around at night in a dangerous era '' He explained while laughed jump between his words.

"She was a prey, and I was the predator. This was all I could think about when I saw her, little I knew about was waiting for me." I didn't utter a word, all I was doing was listening to his each and every word.

"The moment my eyes laid on her eyes … I felt like I was alive again. The fire in her eyes hooked me and from predator, I get to became a pray for her beauty."

"What was her name?" I spoke for the first time in a while.

"Tiana … Her name was Tiana. "He then added, "She was a human girl, and your mate killed her because he knew about my feelings for her. " He posed then add "You know what hurts the most? The truth of that If I didn't know her she would be alive by now … Also, I never got to say goodbye to her.''

"I never got to say hello nor goodbye to mom, and I know for sure that she's gone because of me." I told him "Yet, I know that my mom used and still loves me. She's always by my side"

I said while holding the moon in my necklace between my hands.

" I am pretty sure that Tiana still feels the same toward you … And if she has to pick between losing her life while knowing you or living without knowing, she would pick to know you for sure ."

He looked at me not sure from what I was saying, and before he asked I answered "I'll tell you how, If you got the chance to bring her back to life, you would do it even if it means to exchange your life with hers."

He nods in approval, meaning that he got my point. I took it as a hint to finish what I was about to say

"When people fall in love - the true love of course - they get to see the world from a different point of view. Their happiness does not rely in on themselves anymore. It became related to the person you love the most. I'm sure she would be happy knowing that you're happy in your life, not the opposite."

He smiled, but his smile was a sad smile not a happy one, a wave of guilt washed all over my body, and again I found myself apologizing to him. I can believe how many people got hurt by the monster I am mated to "I'm truly sorry …."

"You don't have to! You did nothing wrong … You're just unlucky to have such a monster as a mate." He said to me,

"I'm sure that she spent the best days of her life while she was with you …" I said truthfully, I mean who wouldn't be lucky to have a life partner like Elijah. I've been here for only three months, and I can tell what a wonderful person he is.

Again, I had to be me and ask one of my stupid questions "The human girl Tiana, was she from Hobart?"

He looked at me a bit surprised by my question, "How did you know?" He wondered.

'It's simple" I said "Last time we were there, you showed a lot of passion toward 'Hobart'. Besides, most of the places that you took me too, seemed to be a great location for lovers to spend time on …" I was stopped by his laughter.

"Oh my lord ... Elizabeth, you're genius … You know." Why the hell do I feel like he's teasing me and not praising me?

"Shut up" I shouted at him … He the caressed my head using his hands "It was a complementing little one, I wasn't trying to tease you."

Why did the weather get a bit hotter than before, as I raised my head up, Elijah's face was near to mine? A warm smile finds its way toward his face before he says "Thank you! I never got to talk about my pain to anyone. You're annoying sometimes, but your presence does always help me a lot."

In normal case I would try to shot Elijah's dead, he just called me annoyed. Let's just say that this was not a normal case.

I mean his face was inches away from mine, his eyes were on my lips – mine were too on his lips. Not waiting for him to move I tip on my toes and smashed my lips on his.

As I expected, Elijah did not reject my kiss. On the opposite side, he was moving along with my lips. Though Elijah seemed to be a good kisser, in somehow … The kiss was cool, but the best one I've ever had. I hate to admit that, but Liam's kiss was everything I was thinking about while kissing Elijah.

While kissing a knock on the door made us both to stop. Then the door burst open and guess who was on the door.

"Elijah darling! …. Oh my good … Am I interrupting something?" Lorena's wondered trying her best to seem innocent, but I know better than to trust her innocence.

''No!'' I said, while Elijah said at the same time as me "Yeah …!" We both looked at each other, then I turned to face queen b*** then added "No sweetheart … You're not interrupting anything. We were done anyway … Isn't it DARLING!!!"

I said playfully while holding Elijah's arm, then he answered "If you said so … DARLING!" Lorena's face turned red from anger, and I tried my best not to laugh at her face but I didn't.

"Anyway, I am here to inform you that the king is holding an important meeting … and you … both to be present in his majesty's office in the upcoming thirty minutes." She spoke formally.

"A meeting ... What sort of meeting?!!!" I wondered, and she snapped at me "Well, you only need to be there AT TIME … and you will know what the meeting is for."

Her disrespect was forcing my Lycan to take action, as I was about to lose control of my Lycan, Elijah held my hand to come me down … Surprisingly it worked, I wasn't angry anymore but I wasn't going to let her go like that.

"Mind closing you the door after you, we still have important matters to discuss," I told her while giving Elijah a back hug.

Surprisingly, Lorena did as she was told. As the door was closed, I let go on Elijah, and we both burst into laughter. We kept on laughing for a while until it wasn't possible for us to laugh anymore. I mean the look on her face was worth a million dollars.

"DARLING" Elijah called while trying his best to inmate Lorena's voice, and I answered him honestly "I don't like her!"

"I know, though she seemed a bit over it, but she's not a bad person," Elijah explained, which earned him to win a deadly look from me.

"By over do you mean B**chy?" I wondered, then I added, "What do you think the meeting is going to be about?"

"I think it's about something related to the Lycans … The war maybe" he explained like it's something obvious." And we better get to the king's office right now."

I nodded my head in approval then followed him to my father's office. The office was not like I expected. It was a vast era, well-designed and decorated. In the office, there were about twenty vampires along with Elijah's squad.

There was something off about these vampires, their presence was screaming power all over the place. I looked at Elijah, and he guessed what I was thinking about right away.

He bent down close to my ears then whispered "The five in the middle are the vampire convent, behind each one of them stand four of the most strongest vampires with some very unique gifts and abilities."

"Oh I see!" was all I could utter, while trying to avoid the looks from the vampires in the office.
