The vampires' coven

He bent down close to my ears then whispered "The five in the middle are the vampire convent, behind each one of them stand four of the most strongest vampires with some very unique gifts and abilities."

"Oh I see!" was all I could utter, while trying to avoid the looks from the vampires in the office.

The meeting was over after more than three hours of strategy. The Lycan thread is growing to be more serious than before. Especially after our last battle, who were Apollyon, Ambrose, Atieno, Afanas, and Aldon.

Elijah told me that their names were picked up on their personalities.....

- Apollyon means the destroyer in the Greek culture.

- Ambrose means the immortal divine, and it's also a Greek name.

- Atieno which is an African name means born at night

- Afanas's name has quite the same meaning as Ambrose's name, which is immortal, the only difference is the origins of the name – since Afanas' name has a Russian origin.

- Aldon's name is the most unique one since it wasn't feisty as the other names. It means the old friend, also a wise protector. It's an Anglo-Saxon name.

After the kings shows up in his office, and just before he starts the meeting – As everyone showed respect to the king, including the members of the coven.

Three members from the coven, the eldest ones Apollyon, Ambrose, Atieno showed their honest desire of kicking me out of the office.

I wasn't welcomed between them since I wasn't one of them, they were full vampires and I was just a half one. Not to mention that my other half is the enemy, so yeah they got a strong point.

On the other hand the youngest ones - Afanas, and Aldon - were more supportive of me than the others. They believe even that I'm just a half vampire I'm still one of them, which is kind of true.

I looked at my father, wondering what shall I do – and all I received was a 'It's your fight – Prove yourself' look from my father.

He was kinda right … It's my fight, and I've got to speak for myself.

My move was not to deny who am I, It was quite the opposite – I stand for myself while shouting "I am the hybrid, daughter of a Lycan soldier and vampire king. I'm both of those kinds, yet different from both. I promise to myself and not to anyone but myself to bring peace upon both species – Lycans and vampires equally. But when it comes to me picking a side, with no hesitation I would pick my father's side - King Alexander the first, my king … your king … king of all vampires."

As I was done speaking, no one dared to speak but Apollyon "We don't need you be our side … We're capable of winning this war without …." I cut him off showing my authority while everyone including my father were enjoying the show.

"How dare you? I am the mighty Hybrid …" He then turned the fever back on me by cutting off "Mighty on yourself." He shouts "I doubt you can stand even one minute in front me."

No he didn't!!! Did he just challenge me? Well, I didn't need to wait for him.

I growl at him while letting all of my fangs and claws out as a sign of me accepting his challenge, and I started right away launching my attack on him.

I send him a punch after punch on him, but he dodges all of my attacks. Not anymore, he was right in my sight. I took the opportunity to give him the chance to taste one of my punches.

As my skin touches his I scream unconsciously from pain. It was as if I was touching fire itself – Well, the situation gets worse than just untouchable hot skin. He is now creating some fireballs right out of hand. I dodged one of the first, then the second but the third one hit me.

As I was thrown away by his fireball, Apollyon started laughing, "I expected much from the mighty hybrid herself!" He was laughing at me in front of everyone.

I stand up with a creepy smile on my face, since I've got all the time I need to copy his power – it was time for the show now.

While creating a ball of fire as similar to the one he used to create awhile ago, I thought that a bit of humor wouldn't hurt anyone … So I teased him back.

"Do you know that you can't fight fire only by fire?" I said as I threw ball after ball on him. Fury was now obvious on Apollyon's face, knowing that I have the same power as him means that we'll have to fight each other in the old way, still, he had the best chance to win the fight since he's one of the oldest vampires ever, while I was a newbie one.

Only if he knows that we don't share the same gift and that my gist is way stronger than his. The exact reason why I wasn't planning on fighting in the old way.

Now it was time to use Silas's gift, as I made myself invisible – gasps filled the office. Besides my father and the squad. No one was believing his eyes, it wasn't logical for them that I used the second gift rather than the first one. What ... All these shocked faces while I didn't start yet?

I showed myself behind the very confused Apollyon, then it was time for the next trick. After using Silas's gift, it was now time for Lorena's one. As much as I hate the Queen b*** herself, can't deny how useful her gift is.

I used Lorena's gift to play games on Apollyon's mind, and in less than a few seconds – The mighty vampire was screaming from pain.

I stood there watching as he was suffering, then in a swift move... I let my Lycan side to finish the show.

While my caning was on his neck … I pulled them in then whispered into his ears "Consider yourself lucky, since it's a war, and we need as many as possible fighters by our side. Otherwise, you would be sending my greeting to my mommy in heavens!''

The moment I was done, I broke his neck sending him to the dreamland. Just by then, my father spooks for the first time in a while with a proud smile on his face.

"I guess it's all settled now … Who still has a problem?" I thought that the other two eldest will keep on their world on against my presence, surprisingly none of them spooked back then.

So I took a seat beside my father, then the meeting had finally started. The main aspect of the meeting was 'The Lycans are firing back.'

We were informed that Lycans are holding an elimination campaign for vampires and that the orders were sent directly from the palace to all Lycans and werewolves packs.

It means that Lycans and werewolves are moving on to kill each and every vampire around with or without a reason.

Well, that's not all. We were also informed that the Lycans palace location was moved to a more secret one. They also hid in the palace with the help of an ancient strong which is called Baba Yaga.

Knowing that Baba Yaga is by the Lycan's side got most of the vampires around more worried than before.

I personally don't know anything about her, but from the reaction, I'm watching right now! I guess that I have to know her.

Well, you may think that this was all, but unfortunately – it wasn't all.

The next one wasn't announced by my father this time, it was Elijah's time to participate at the party. He was now informing us that the mysterious Lycan, aka Albert - who was providing us with the palace information - is not going to be able to be by our side anymore. Since then, any movement now may lead the Lycans to know about his secret identity as 'his kind traitor'.

Last but not least we did discuss our final strategy to not become extinct at the hands of Lycans.

We end up … They end up agreeing on spreading to six groups, the five coven members with the fighters by their sides, and our squad.

Each team will have to turn to as many as possible humans and to use them as an army to fight in the war. The purpose of these new vampires is nothing more than to exhaust the enemy and to outnumber them.

In another way, we'll be sacrificing those humans. I tried my best to convince them to come up with something else. But I was faced with rejection.

Even Elijah did not have my back this time, his excuse was that we were in a war, and sacrifices are needed, and we have nothing to do but to follow orders …, and more of his blah blah's speeches.

I ended up giving up on their plan ... Now all I have to do is wait to see what my next move is going to be.
