Date in Rome

The whole meeting things ended up very well for me, since I end up proving myself, and gaining respect among vampires.

Though I proved myself to be the strongest, my father still believes that I am not ready yet to lead any team. So, he put me in Elijah's one, He believed that I am still larking inexperience compared to Elijah who's leading the squad. And I'd do better by learning from him.

Three days after the meeting, and we were on our way to Italy, exactly - Rome, the capital … After about a whole night – exactly 17 hours, we finally arrived.

It was almost daytime, meaning that besides me and Elijah, no one from the squad could go out … So, the best thing to do was to wait for the night.

While waiting for the day to get over, I closed my eyes and let myself into the dream world. Again, the same dream from before I started playing on.

My mate was in between queen Sophia's hands, she was crying so hard while holding his lifeless body. In front of her was the woman from the dream before, she was holding a baby no more.

Instead, there was a man by her side, a man who was facing the wall. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't see his face.

While shaking and breathing hard I ended up waking myself up from this dream, and it was finally night.

Time to leave the plane - As were leaving we were greeted by a couple of black BMWs.

Separately, each three of us should take the car. Well, that's not what happened. Queen b*** - Aka Lorena, went directly to the car Elijah was going to drive. Then invited herself by herself to sit on the next driver's seat.

Oh, I want you to see her face when Elijah spooks "Lorena! Join Silas' drive ... I'm heading to somewhere else along with Elizabeth."

She stood still in her place, not expecting to be kicked out that way. Well the gentle me helped her take her hands from the car's door, then I sat in the car next to Elijah.

"Where are we going?" I wondered, again, did Elijah answer my question with another one. "Have you been to Italy before?"

I shook my head then I did the same as him, I answered with another question "Have you?"

He rolled his eyes before he said "Yes! I've been here before." Then he adds, "When you are immortal, you'll get to see and visit many places." "Oh, I see" was all I said to him.

I laid my head on the window and enjoyed the moving scenes in front of me. We passed through people, fountains, and churches. It was not just a wonderful but breath-taking view.

Lost in my thoughts was when Elijah spooked:

"The thing I love about Rome is that it has so many layers. In it, you can follow anything that interests you: town planning, architecture, churches, or culture. It's a city rich in antiquity and early Christian treasures, and just endlessly fascinating. There's nowhere else like it. " -Claire Tomalin.

I didn't utter a word since I didn't get what he was saying. Seeing that I didn't say anything Elijah got the fact that I didn't get what he was saying, then he starts explaining " Those are my favorite quotes about Rome - one is by Claire Tomalin, while the second one was said by Paolo Sorrentino.''

"Aaaah! I see," was all I said in response then I asked him "It's a beautiful city … But … I still can't tell where are we going?" Though I asked him he did not answer me, instead he chose to ignore me, which annoyed the hell of me. Yet, the car stopped in front of a huge fountain.

It was the most beautiful fountain I've ever seen in my entire life. Without moving my eyes away, I asked him "What's this??"

"Trevi Fountain is one of the most impressive landmarks in the entire Rome." He explained to me

"Wow, this is so stunning! Look at the stonework and the water - the gushing water. No wonder this place is full of visitors." While speaking something caught my attention, people around were throwing something … coins inside the fountain.

When I was about to ask Elijah, he answered by himself just as if he was reading my mind and thoughts. "If you throw one coin you will always find your way back to Rome. If you throw two coins then you will fall in love with an attractive woman. Last but not least, if you throw three coins you will marry the person that you want." He said the third one while fixing his vision on me.

Oh my goodness! He's already good-looking, does he have to be such a person? I mean, how could someone be that perfect?

Lost in my thoughts, I was, when Elijah took three coins and put them in between my hands, then whispered " Make a wish! " Then he threw his three coins all at once. As I was about to throw my coins – then one face popped inside my head, Liam.

I stepped one step back, and Elijah seemed to notice my move, he then wondered "What's wrong?"

I smiled at him, trying to hide the worries inside of me." It's a beautiful city ... I'd always love to find my way back in here." Then I threw one coin in the fountain.

Our next station was Pizza Bar Restaurant in the center of Rome called Ristoro Della Salute, It was a lovely place, did I mention how much the food there is delicious.

While eating together, chit-chatting, and teasing each other, Elijah's phone started ringing. He then turned off the call once, twice, and even more.

The next thing to happen was Elijah excusing himself for a while, then being missing for an hour.

After waiting, for a whole hour, I didn't feel like waiting anymore. Though I am not familiar with the city, I still manage to take the right path.

How do I know so? Well, it's not that difficult to look to select a vampire scent in a city full of humans.

It took for me less than one minute to find him using my super speed. As I was close to fined him, a voice that I do recognize very well along with the scent of the same person took me out of the guard. And before that I got noticed by Albert or Elijah, I masked my scent then started overhearing their discussion.

"You wanted to cancel your mate mating celebration with your brother, and I helped you to do it … Now you have to help locate the palace." Elijah threatened Albert, from what I've heard Albert is the unknown brother of Liam.

Then everything started to get clear. The woman in the dream, now I do remember where I've seen her, it was the same woman in the picture thrown next to Albert's bed. I saw the picture on the day I was trying to kill Selena.

While thinking, Logan's name brought me back to reality.

"Things are complicated after your last attack if I let you know such highly secret information. Everyone will know that I was the helping you." Albert explained, but Elijah seemed not to care about what would happen to him.

"There must be another way!' Elijah exclaimed, then Albert answered him." The only way is to use Logan … It's either me or Logan, and one of us will have to die."

"Don't leave Logan out of this,'" Elijah shouts at Albert and doesn't seem to like Elijah's attitude toward him.

"You're really into her ... isn't it?" Before he answered I made the right moment as the best time to make my entry.

" Into me or not, my brother stays out of the matter." They were both speechless for a second then Elijah shouts at me "I told you to stay and wait for me there." I shouted back at him right away, "And I decided not to stay … Now I guess you both owe me an explanation."

"I owe you nothing if someone needs to explain something to you … You may ask the Romeo by your side," Albert explained while leaving.

Just by then, he stopped for a while and turned to face Elijah then he said " How about you start by explaining how was Lorena able to put the envelope into Liam's office, and why? Not to mention what was actually on the envelope."

Wait, what envelope was he talking about? I faced Elijah trying to get some answers from him, but he didn't utter a word. He chooses to ignore my question instead of answering like he always does when he's hiding something.

I guess I have to discover the whole thing by myself.
