97. Gabriel Agreste

Scene: Shadow Moth's lair. Shadow Moth is standing in front of the lair's window.

Shadow Moth: Ladybug, ever since you became the guardian of the Miraculouses, something has been different, and believe me I will find out exactly what it is. (The lair window closes shut.)

Scene: The Agreste mansion's repository. Gabriel is in front of Emilie's cryogenic pod.

Gabriel: Tonight, Emilie, our rings will once again be united. I've invited your sister and Félix. I have every intention of getting back what he stole from me. (Gabriel wears the ring.)

"My aunt and cousin are coming back to Paris?" Adrien asked and Angel confirmed it with a nod. Suddenly, Adrien winced along with everyone else, all nervous about what his cousin is going to do this time.

Scene: Inside the Graham de Vanily car. Félix is watching the Ladyblog on his tablet.

Alya: (v.o) The Miraculous are magical jewels that give powers to superheroes, like Ladybug's earrings and Cat Noir's ring. But supervillain Shadow Moth also has two Miraculous brooches in his possession, and they will give him his powers. We can figure out from this that the Miraculous can either make a superhero or a supervillain. It's all riding on who wears it, which is why these jewels can't fall into just anybody's hands. Félix: (puts down the tablet) I hope we'll get to see some superheroes while we're here in Paris, Mom.

Amelie: That would be pretty exciting, wouldn't it, darling? (gives a flying kiss) Mwah!

Adrien frowned, not only with distrust towards his cousin, but also with envy that Felix still has his mother (who looks exactly like his own mother since the women are identical twins). Noticing this, Marinette put her hand on his and smiled in comfort in which Adrien smiled back.

Scene: Interior, The Agreste mansion in Nathalie's room. Adrien enters the room and serves Nathalie her lunch.

"Even though she brought this on herself, I kind of feel bad that Nathalie has to stay bedridden because of the Peacock Miraculous," Adrien admitted with a pitiful look towards his father's assistant on-screen. Everyone else nodded in understanding, knowing how compassionate the blond boy is.

Nathalie: Yes? (Adrien comes in with prepared food.) Thank you, Adrien.

Adrien: My father doesn't want me to invite my friends from school tonight.

Nathalie: But there will be some teenagers here, like Chloé and Kagami.

"The girl who broke our long-time friendship because she wouldn't change her attitude and my angry ex-girlfriend. Not to mention my two-faced cousin. Yeah, awesome guest list!" Adrien sarcastically deadpanned in annoyance, but then turned to Chloe and Kagami with an apologetic look. "No offense, you two!"

"None taken," Chloe and Kagami both recited simultaneously with slight frowns on their faces.

Adrien: Yeah, but only 'cause their parents are members of his club.

Nathalie: These club members are influential people in Paris. They are very important to your father, Adrien.

Adrien: (sadly) And my friends are very important to me.

Gabriel: Adrien, can you leave us for a moment?

Adrien: Yes, Father. (Adrien walks out of the room, closing the door. Gabriel sits beside Nathalie and takes off his spectacles.)

Gabriel: I'm having a difficult time without your help, Nathalie. I realized now how many people it would take to fill your shoes.

Nathalie: You're not thinking about canceling the party, are you?

Gabriel: I can't, the members of the club wouldn't understand. Also, Félix will be here with Amelie.

Nathalie: I've made a list of everything that has to get done tonight. (Nathalie hands him a tablet, while Gabriel puts on his spectacles.) You'll just need to follow the instructions. The most important things are in red. (Gabriel scrolls through the list of instructions, on the tablet.) Check the staffs' identities, make sure the robots are set to the proper program and don't forget to activate the cellphone scramblers, so the party stays private. (Nathalie hands him a sandwich.) Have you had lunch?

Gabriel: No. (takes the sandwich) Thank you.

Scene: Collège Françoise Dupont. The Art classroom.

Alya: Marinette. We've decided to ask Marc and Nathaniel for help. If anyone can come up with the perfect plan for you to finally tell Adrien you love him, it's them.

Marinette: What? Are you serious?

Alya: Yeah, so?

Marinette: So they all know about me and... (whispers) how I feel about you know who?

"EVERYONE KNOWS!" The teens (except for Adrien) exclaimed to the blushing red Marinette simultaneously with amused looks on their faces.

Alix: Everyone knows that you're crushing on Adrien!

Marinette: Even Adrien?

Nathaniel: Adrien is probably the only one who doesn't know.

Marc: Of course, otherwise, there would be no story.

Alya: We chose Marc and Nate, 'cause as you know, they're the experts in romantic comedies. Marc writes and Nate draws.

Rose: And, since they succeeded in inventing a love story for Ladybug and Cat Noir in their first comic book, they're sure to think of the perfect plot between you and Adrien!

Marc: Your story with Adrien seems really complicated.

Nathaniel: But it's actually very simple.

Marc: It's just like a fairy tale. Nate? (Nathaniel opens a book.) Usually, a mean old witch imprisons a princess in a castle guarded by a dragon. And a knight in shining armor has to save her. Well, this is the same story, except you're the knight, Marinette, Adrien's the princess, the castle is his home, and the witch is his father, Gabriel Agreste.

"Nice story, you two. But I'm afraid the knight's shining armor is a little too masculine for my style," Marinette commented half-jokingly in which everyone else chuckled in agreement (including Marc and Nathaniel themselves).

"Consider yourself lucky, m'lady. I'm the princess. In a dress!" Adrien pointed out to his girlfriend in which everyone else laughed harder in response.

"At least Mr. Agreste being a witch sounds more accurate now that we know about his double life," Marc then pointed out to everyone else who laughed even harder in agreement.

Rose: I'd have thought his father was the king.

Alix: Or the dragon.

Zoé: His bodyguard would be the dragon, he looks the part!

Mylène: He looks more like a gorilla. (Everyone laughs.)

Nathaniel: The main obstacle in the fairy tale could be the dragon.

Marc: Or the witch! In Marinette and Adrien's story, it's Gabriel Agreste. But the witch Agreste has made a mistake! He's been letting his son out of the castle to go to school!

Alya: And that's where the good fairies come in!

Marc and Nathaniel: Us!

Marc: Every week, we'll think of a new plan, so that the knight can finally kiss the princess! And they can finally live happily ever after with buckets of hamsters! And the plan will always take place in the one and only location where the witch can't get to, which is…

"Yeah, what is it with you people and hamsters?!" Alix finally asked the question of why the obsession with hamsters as well as some people in the audience.

"Hamsters are the cutest animals ever!" Most people (including Marinette and Adrien) retorted back in response.

Marinette: The school! (Chloé enters through a ceiling tile.)

Chloé: A-ha! You forgot me in your ridiculous fairy tale! (Sabrina follows her, falling down flat on her face instead.)

"What are you two, ninjas now?" Angel asked Chloe and Sabrina in which they blushed red in embarrassment while everyone else snickered at the scene on-screen.

Rose: (screams) The terrifying ogre!

Mylène: The big bad wolf!

Alix: The ugly toad!

Chloé: Your worst nightmare! (Chloé then shows her cellphone to them with a recording of the meeting playing.) Thanks to this video, I'm going to ruin Dupain-Cheng's fairy tale! Tonight, I'll show this video to his father, who will realize that you're trying to take his son away from him and make him fall in love with a baker girl! Then he'll lock Adrien up in his room forever and forbid him to come back to school, and poof! There goes your fairy tale! Adrien will never see you again! Good for him!

Marinette: I thought you're happy that Adrien was coming to school?

Chloé: He'll be better off alone at home than surrounded by a bunch of lame-o's at school! And then maybe he'll be lucky enough to go back to being my Prince Charming whom I've always adored!

"I thought I'm your Adrinothing now?" Adrien asked Chloe about what happened between them in the last episode with a slight frown in which she gave a quiet look of shame as a response.

"Well, Adrien, Chloe's punishing you in a way too. Once your father pulls you out of school, it'd be easier for Chloe to force you to be her Adrikins again," Angel explained in which after some thought, everyone else (including the ashamed blonde girl herself) murmured in agreement.

Marinette: Adrien was never your Prince Charming, Chloé!

Chloé: We'll see about that, Dupain-Cheng! Sabrina, ninja smokescreen! (Sabrina throws a white powder before making their escape. Chloé hits the ceiling.)

"You know, you two, we have a door," Alya mockingly pointed out to Chloe and Sabrina who both slightly frowned while also blushing in embarrassment while everyone else just chuckled.

Marinette: She won't do anything. Not tonight, or ever. The witch— I mean, Gabriel Agreste, doesn't just let anyone walk into his house.

Zoé: Normally, that's true, but actually, there's a dinner party tonight, and all his friends are invited, with their children! Chloé will be there.

Marinette: Yeah, but so will her mother, who's your mother, so you'll be there too! You'll be able to stop her, right?

Zoé: My darling half-sister Chloé managed to convince our mother not to bring me with them.

Marinette: (groans) She really is a piece of work...

Marc: We just have to pretend like we're in a fairy tale! The knight simply has to go to the ball to stop the evil Chloé from showing the videos to the witch Agreste!

Zoé: The knight can't get into the ball. The ball is off-limits, tonight. (Nathaniel is drawing over the book.)

Marc: Unless, the knight is wearing...

Nathaniel: (He shows his drawn-on illustration) A disguise!

"Or if you would know that I will be also attending the party with my mother, you could've called me and asked for my help since I don't want Adrien to be miserable either. No matter how fragile our relationship is in this future," Kagami pointed out in which everyone involved on-screen facepalmed themselves in exasperation.

"How come we never thought of that?!" Marinette asked with a palm in her face.

"On the bright side, at least Lila's not invited. Imagine what a duo she and Chloe would be in this particular scheme against Marinette and Adrien," Angel pointed out in which everyone else murmured in agreement.

Scene: Le Grand Paris. Butler Jean is pushing a tray of crockeries. Zoé is sitting on the sofa. As Butler Jean comes out, she gets ready and stands up.

Zoé: (rudely) Jean Quentin, did my mother tell you that the dinner party is no longer at Gabriel Agreste's tonight?

Butler Jean: Oh no! Madame didn't mention anything to me.

Zoé: A helicopter will be coming to the roof, to take you over to the Eiffel Tower.

Butler Jean: Is Mademoiselle sure about this?

Zoé: Excuse me? Are you suggesting that I might be wrong? (walks away) Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! (to herself) Sorry, but it's for a good cause.

"Even though this is part of a plot against me, I've never been more proud of my sister," Chloe said as she wiped a tear from her eye. Everyone else rolled their eyes in response in annoyance all the while impressed by Zoe's acting talent.

Scene: Interior. The Dupain-Cheng residence. Marinette's room.

Zoé: (Through the phone) The butler is out of the picture.

Marc: The knight can take his place! (Marinette's friends help her to get in the disguise of the butler.)

Rose: (Placing mustache on Marinette's face) There, perfect!

"Well, at least it's an improvement from the last time I wore a disguise to get into the Agreste mansion," Marinette said as she winced at the disguise she's forced to wear, referring to Party Crasher. Everyone else murmured in agreement, but also laughed hard at the disguise since it still looks ridiculous.

Scene: Interior. The Agreste mansion.

Gabriel: (Locks his office.) Office locked, check. (Gabriel closes the curtains.) Dining room, check. Accessories, check. (A van arrives outside the mansion.) Catering, check. Activate scrambler… (The doorbell rings. Adrien's bodyguard goes to the door, but Gabriel interrupts him.) You handle the cellphone scrambler, I'll take care of greeting my guests. (Adrien's bodyguard goes to the table full of remotes, and presses a remote button, due to which all the window shutters start to open and close automatically. He presses another button due to which robots come out and start circling the bodyguard. He presses another button, due to which everything becomes normal.) Welcome. (The guests scan their fingerprints onto Gabriel's tablet, and wear the provided masks.)

"Wow, your dad is serious about his security!" Kim exclaimed to Adrien, shocked at the security set-up for the private party as well as most others. Some others like Adrien, Chloe, and Kagami are not as shocked since their families are among the richest and most influential families in Paris.

Marinette: Waitress in sight.

Zoé: (in Marinette's room, through the phone) Good luck, Marinette.

Marinette: (coughs, then talks in a fake accent) Hi there.

Sarah: Uh...

Marinette: I'm Marino. (bows) Sorry I'm late, they let me know at the last minute that I had to take over for the regular waiter 'cause... he's sick!

"Marino? Isn't that the same name you used when you crashed our guys-only party?" Adrien asked his blushing girlfriend, chuckling that she used that name again in her disguise as well as everybody else.

"It is. I guess I want a fake name that is close to my real name, so it is much easier to remember. If you all can find a boy name close to Marinette, let me know," Marinette jokingly suggested in which everybody else chuckled harder in response.

Sarah: Oh! Nice to meet you. My name is Sarah. Here's the deal, this is a very private party with very important people! We have to be invisible. The only contact we'll have with Gabriel Agreste will be when he takes our fingerprints to check our identities.

Marinette: Ah— uh... check our identities?

Rose: (in Marinette's room, through the phone) Was this part of the plan?

Sarah: We're just here for food prep in the kitchen and overseeing the children. The robots will be serving the adults. Follow me, everything will be fine.

Marinette: I've got the muscles, I'll carry the heavy stuff. Don't you worry, partner! (Marinette takes the heavy box from Sarah and walks towards the mansion.)

Gabriel: Thank you. (Sarah enters the mansion and gets her fingers scanned, but due to Marinette's hands being full with the heavy box, Gabriel doesn't bother to scan her fingerprint and thus, passes the security check.)

Marinette: I'm in!

"Not being forced to be fingerprinted must be worth the muscle strains I would get from carrying that huge thing," Marinette jokingly said about her luck that she managed to get past the security system with everyone else laughing hard in agreement.

Zoé: (in Marinette's room, through the phone) Yes, well done!

Audrey: How come you're doing all the work tonight, Gabriel? If you needed more servants, you just have to ask us to lend you more.

Gabriel: Welcoming you is never work, dear Audrey. (Gabriel leans to kiss Audrey's hand but Chloé stops him.)

Chloé: (waving her hand) Mr. Agreste, I need you to show you a video, it's really important that you see this!

Marinette: Woaah! Oh no! (Marinette throws the package while Adrien catches it. Chloé tries to dodge the package but bumps into Gabriel, breaking both the tablet and the cellphone.)

Chloé: My phone! (Adrien hands over the package to Marinette.)

Adrien: I guess you dropped this.

Marinette: Thanks— (in a fake accent) Oh— I mean, thanks.

Adrien: Do I know you?

"YES!" The teens jokingly answered Adrien's question on-screen loudly while also laughing.

Marinette: Not likely. I don't know anyone. (Marinette walks away. Amelie and Félix are heading toward the entrance. Gabriel adjusts his scarf to hide the brooches, but Félix notices it anyway.)

Chloé: Hey! You have to watch this, are you ready?

Gabriel: I don't have time for this, young lady.

Chloé: But—

André: Come along now, sweetheart. Gabriel is obviously busy.

Amelie: Gabriel! I'm so happy to be able to thank you in person for giving our family's ring (kisses his cheeks) back to Félix.

Gabriel: It was the sensible thing to do, Amelie.

Adrien: That was very thoughtful of you, Father. (Sarah clears her throat to get Marinette's attention.)

Marinette: I can handle serving the youngsters, I've always been good with kids.

Sarah: I'd rather you stay in the kitchen.

Zoé: (in communicator) Show her she's making the wrong choice, Marinette! (Marinette enters the kitchen. She crashes onto a number of objects.)

Marinette: Oh, no! I'm so clumsy!

Sarah: Okay, you take care of the kids. (Marinette comes out of the kitchen with a tray of drinks.)

"Thank goodness you're clumsy, girl!" Alya said while laughing along with everyone else, including her clumsy best friend herself.

"Sometimes, I like to look at the bright side about my clumsiness. Like it's been a huge factor in you guys not connecting the dots between myself and Ladybug," Marinette pointed out with a sly smile in which after some thought, everyone else laughed in agreement.

Chloé: Oh look, it's the fake Adrien! If I was anyone, other than Chloé Bourgeois, you might actually have me fooled!

Félix: (imitating Adrien) You're wrong, Chloé, I am Adrien!

Chloé: (thinking he is Adrien) Oh! I'm so sorry, Adrikins!

Félix: (laughs) You're still just as foolish as ever, Chloé Bourgeois. (Félix walks away and Chloé gets angry at him. Adrien closes the door as Kagami and her mother arrive. Gabriel locks the door from his tablet.)

"Ugh!" Chloe scoffed in anger towards Felix on-screen while everyone else just quietly snickered as they all thought it was funny despite their dislike towards Adrien's cousin.

Chloé: Mr. Agreste! Is now good? Do you have time to look at my film?

Gabriel: All cellphones will be secured safely for the duration of the evening. (The robot glides in front of Chloé, and opens its tray.) I'm sure you understand how essential privacy is when important business is on the line. (Chloé takes out the memory card before inserting her phone into the robot's tray. Gabriel turns on the cellphone scrambler, which interferes with Marinette's communicator. Marinette removes the communicator.)

Scene: Interior. Dupain-Cheng residence. Marinette's room.

Alya: They've got a soundwave scrambler in the house!

Alix: I'm sure she can handle it.

Scene: Interior. The Agreste mansion.

Gabriel: Adrien, show your young friends up to your room.

Adrien: Yes, Father. (Félix also starts to go along with them but Gabriel stops him.)

Gabriel: Félix. May I see you for a moment?

Scene: Gabriel's atelier. Gabriel and Félix enter the room and Gabriel shuts the door.

Gabriel: Why did you steal my ring, Félix?

Félix: Mom really wanted me to have it since it belonged to her family. (taking off the ring) But you really wanted to keep it, so I planned on giving it back to you tonight.

Gabriel: (taking the ring from Félix) Hmm. Your mother will be sad if you do that.

Félix: Don't worry, Uncle. (wearing another ring) She won't know. I had a copy made.

"Why do I have a sinking feeling that my cousin is tricking my father?" Adrien asked, nervous of the outcome about the Graham de Vanily rings.

"What I don't know is who to root for between the two, dude! Your two-faced manipulative cousin or your cold old man living a double life as Paris' magical terrorist?" Nino stated the question he thought in his head in which everyone else murmured in understanding, also caught between two people who are villains in their own ways.

Gabriel: You're an intelligent young man, Félix. (Félix exits the room and goes to the staircase, smiling mischievously and takes the left staircase. Meanwhile, Gabriel comes out of the room and takes the right staircase and enters Nathalie's room. Félix follows him and stands outside the room, eavesdropping on their conversation.)

Scene: Interior. The Agreste mansion. Nathalie's room.

Gabriel: I know each and every scratch on Emilie's ring! It's a fake ring! (angrily throws the ring) He gave me a fake ring! How dare he?! (Outside the room, Adrien calls Félix.)

"I was right! Felix gave him the fake ring," Adrien deadpanned in annoyance, wishing for his family to get along.

Adrien: (outside the room, waving) Hey, Félix! Are you coming? (Félix leaves the place, waving back, and goes with Adrien.)

Nathalie: Akumatize him, then make him tell you where he's put Emilie's real ring and get it back.

Gabriel: If I do that, he'll know that I'm Shadow Moth. (punches the table) Who else would want that ring?

Nathalie: You're forgetting how immense your powers are now. You can be the Gabriel who creates negative emotions and the Shadow Moth who akumatizes them at the same time.

Gabriel: Brilliant idea, Nathalie. (He removes his glasses and places them on the table. He takes off his scarf to transform.)

Gabriel: Duusu, Nooroo, dual metamorphosis! (He transforms into Shadow Moth and takes a feather out of his Hand Fan.)

Shadow Moth: No one tricks Gabriel Agreste. But you, my lovely amok, you will deceive that arrogant young Félix! And thanks to you, I will get my ring back! (He amokizes his glasses and forms a sentimonster version of himself.) You're perfect!

"So, Mr. Agreste will be Shadow Moth while that sentimonster clone of himself he just created will take his place at the party? I have to admit: that is actually brilliant," Master Fu reluctantly said in which everyone else murmured in agreement, also reluctantly.

Scene: Adrien's room. Kagami is drinking juice and Félix and Kagami are staring at each other angrily.

Chloé: (showing her mobile memory card) I need to find a phone. He has to watch my movie.

Adrien: (stopping Chloé) Chloé, you heard my father. Not during the party.

Chloé: He will thank me when he sees what I filmed.

Adrien: Chloé, no! (Chloé walks away and Marinette tries to follow Chloé.)

Marinette: (handing the tray of drinks to Adrien) I will take care of it. I've always been good with young people. (Félix sees this and also tries to get out of the room.)

Félix: (standing up) I need to speak to my mother. (Félix walks out of the room. Adrien then offers Kagami some juice, to which Kagami still seems to be grumpy and Adrien smiles slightly.)

Scene: Hall staircase. Marinette is searching for Chloé and sees the robot coming out of the soirée room. She also sees a person wearing a cardboard box on his head, which looks like the robot and it enters the soirée room. Marinette deduces that it must be Chloé. Marinette enters the kitchen to get a similar cardboard box.

Sarah: (from the kitchen) Marino, why do you have a cardboard box on your head?

Marinette: (from the kitchen) Uh— it's to entertain the youngsters! (Marinette comes out of the kitchen, with a similar cardboard box like Chloé, and enters the soirée room.)

Scene: Soirée room. Marinette is searching for Chloé.

Marinette: (searching for Chloé) Where are you Chloé? You are here somewhere. (She searches the room and sees Chloé, taking her phone from the robot. She says to herself) She's looking for her phone! I won't let you do it.

"You're really that determined to make my life miserable, don't you?" Marinette rhetorically asked the blonde girl in a deadpan tone with a slight frown along with everyone else. Meanwhile, Chloe just winced while also giving the blue-haired girl an apologetic look.

Scene: Gabriel's atelier. Sentimonster Gabriel comes out of Nathalie's room and goes downstairs, while Félix is spying on him. Sentimonster Gabriel gestures to the bodyguard to go somewhere else and Sentimonster Gabriel enters the atelier. Félix follows him carefully and enters the atelier. There he sees the portrait of his aunt, Emilie Agreste, and smiles.

Sentimonster Gabriel: (from behind Félix) What are you looking for, Félix?

Félix: (turning around) You. I'd like to get to know you better, Uncle.

Sentimonster Gabriel: It's true. You don't know me very well at all, otherwise you wouldn't have given me a fake ring. Where did you put the real ring? The one that belongs to my wife?

Félix: In a safe place.

Sentimonster Gabriel: Wherever it is, you're going to give it back to me.

Félix: How do you plan to make me do that, by using your powers... Shadow Moth?

Sentimonster Gabriel: I am Gabriel Agreste, and I do indeed have every power I need to find my wife's ring, including the power to destroy your life. I don't need to be Shadow Moth for that.

Félix: I knew you were no ordinary uncle.

Sentimonster Gabriel: (preparing to snap his fingers) And now you know that I only need to snap my fingers to make you disappear from here.

"Weird choice of words," Marinette said to her boyfriend who nodded in agreement along with everyone else, confused to what Sentimonster Gabriel just threatened to do to Felix on-screen.

Félix: You wouldn't dare!

Sentimonster Gabriel: Do you want to take that risk, Félix? Think of your mother. (Félix backs up to Emilie's portrait. Then, an akuma enters the room and enters Félix's ring.)

Shadow Moth: (from Nathalie's room) Félix, I am Shadow Moth. You've put yourself in an unfortunate situation by trying to defy someone stronger than you. But I can give you the power to escape Gabriel Agreste. All I ask in return are Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous.

Félix: This is impossible! I'm not mistaken. You are wearing a Miraculous. Those jewels are underneath your scarf. The brooches!

Sentimonster Gabriel: Brooches? What are you talking about?

Shadow Moth: (from Nathalie's room) You really think that Gabriel Agreste could be Shadow Moth? (laughs) He doesn't have what it takes! And neither do you. Accept the power I'm offering you!

Félix: I'm not afraid of your threats, and I don't need your power! (Félix breaks through Shadow Moth's akumatization and an akuma flies out of his ring. He takes a button from his shirt and slides beside Sentimonster Gabriel, and while sliding, Félix makes a small tear in Sentimonster Gabriel's pants near the shoe, and runs out of the room.)

Sentimonster Gabriel: Come back! (After going out of the room, he closes the door and throws a chair, to block the door and runs away.)

Scene: Nathalie's room.

Nathalie: Use your anger to akumatize the sentimonster.

Scene: Gabriel's atelier. Akuma gets inside Gabriel's tablet.

Shadow Moth: (from Nathalie's bedroom) Collector, you have failed in the task of getting that boy to tell you his secret. So, now I give you the power to take it by force. (Sentimonster Gabriel is akumatized into Collector.)

"As you all can see, another rerun of the Collector except it's the sentimonster version," Angel pointed out to what happened on-screen and everyone else groaned in annoyance, remembering how difficult the Collector was.

Scene: Outside Gabriel's atelier. Chloé is walking towards the atelier's door, followed by Marinette and Bob Roth.

Bob Roth: Hey! That's my phone!

Chloé: Mr. Agreste! I have to show you my video. (Chloé inserts the memory card inside Bob Roth's phone, when suddenly the atelier's doors fly away, revealing the Collector.)

Collector: I am now the Collector, and anyone caught in my tablet will give up their secrets to me! (He throws his tablet and captures Chloé.)

"And instead of a notebook, he's using his tablet to capture people instead," Angel said. Everyone else just looked at the screen, curious and interested on how different a tablet would be from a notebook in this case.

Bob Roth: My phone!

Chloé: (from inside the tablet) I just wanted to show you this video to hurt the baker girl and keep Adrikins all to myself, because I'm a mean person. (gasps) Why did I say that?

"BUSTED!" The teens exclaimed with amused looks on their faces towards the cringing blonde girl in response to what happened on-screen.

Collector: (pointing to Marinette) And you! What were you doing in the living room reserved for the members of my club? What secrets are you hiding? (Collector throws his tablet towards Marinette but she dodges it and the tablet hits Bob Roth instead.)

Bob Roth: (from inside the tablet) I steal people's ideas and then I- (Collector swipes him to the main screen of the tablet. Adrien comes out of his room, along with Kagami and sees that his father is akumatized into the Collector)

"We already know that!" Luka pointed out, still a little angry from what happened with Kitty Section and Bob when he was akumatized into Silencer along with everyone else who murmured in agreement.

Kagami: (pushing Adrien in his room) Hide in here! (She goes out of the room along with a fencing sword.)

[ Transformation Sequence ]

Adrien: Plagg, claws out! (Adrien transforms into Cat Noir. Kagami, Sarah and the bodyguard are fighting the Collector but end up being absorbed by his tablet. Félix is sneaking away from the room.)

Collector: (seeing Félix) And you Félix! Where did you hide my ring? (Collector throws his tablet towards him but Félix dodges it and the main door gets absorbed and Félix gets outside. Marinette enters a room and transforms into Ladybug.)

Marinette: (from inside the room) Tikki! Spots on!

Scene: Outside Agreste mansion. Félix is dodging attacks from Collector. When Félix is about to be hit, Ladybug throws her yo-yo and drags Félix out of the tablet's path.

Cat Noir: Hey, m'lady! Looks like the Collector is gone high-tech.

Ladybug: I liked it better when he had a book. At least you had a limited number of pages.

Cat Noir: (pulling Félix) I will get him out of here. (Félix gets on the back of Cat Noir and goes out of the fighting place.)

Cat Noir: What do you got that the Collector wants so bad?

Félix: My ring.

Cat Noir: If it's yours, why would he want to take it from you?

Félix: I don't know. My uncle is a strange man. (The statue, who's behind they were hiding, gets absorbed by the tablet.)

Cat Noir: (seeing the statue being absorbed) Whoa! I hope that statue takes up a lot of memory.

Ladybug: That's right! The memory on that tablet is going to fill up pretty fast! (Ladybug and Cat Noir successfully dodges the attacks of the Collector, due to which many other objects get absorbed by the tablet. Cat Noir takes Félix to a safe place.)

Cat Noir: Stay here Félix. (Ladybug and Cat Noir continue to dodge the tablet but the tablet doesn't stop to absorb things.)

Ladybug: Or not. Lucky Charm! (Ladybug summons Lucky Charm and gets a trampoline.)

"A TRAMPOLINE?!" The audience asked very loudly, dying of confusion upon the Lucky Charm given on-screen.

"What are you two gonna do with that?! Bounce onto him?!" Alya asked, still very confused about the Lucky Charm trampoline.

Cat Noir: (seeing the trampoline) Way to bounce back, m'Lady. (Through her Lucky Vision, Ladybug sees a set of plates, Cat Noir's staff, traffic lights and roadside posts.)

"I think I've got it. We won't be doing the bouncing. Cat Noir's staff will! And then physics will work itself out!" Marinette said excitedly as soon as she got the idea. The audience, however, was still very confused, so they kept their eyes glued to the screen.

Ladybug: Want to help me to set up the table, kitty cat? (she throws the trampoline towards the traffic light pole so that the trampoline leans along with it.)

Cat Noir: So, what's for dinner?

Ladybug: A Collector! (Ladybug and Cat Noir begin to throw plates to the Collector, to which he successfully dodges and absorbs some of the plates, with his tablet.)

Collector: My appetite is insatiable! You will fall before me!

Ladybug: Cat Noir! Time for a rebound. (Cat Noir throws his staff towards the Collector, who dodges the staff but the staff bounces off many objects and trampoline, comes from behind the Collector and hits his tablet, which falls on the ground.)

"Yes! I knew it!" Marinette exclaimed excitedly in response to the fact that her plan against the Collector on-screen worked while everyone else just looked at the blue-haired superhero in astonished shock.

"Ms. Mendeleiev would surely be proud," Miss Bustier said as she beamed proudly at her student's quick thinking along with everyone else.

Cat Noir: (catching back his staff) Dinner's ready!

Collector: Nooooo! (Ladybug breaks the tablet with her yo-yo and the akuma flies out of it.)

Ladybug: No more evil doing for you, little Akuma. Time to de-evilize! (She captures the akuma and purifies it.) Gotcha! Bye-bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug! (Everything absorbed by the tablet is returned to its original place and the Collector converted back into Sentimonster Gabriel.)

Ladybug and Cat Noir: Pound it!

"Pound it!" The two heroes once again fist-bumped then kissed in victory.

Shadow Moth: (speaking through Sentimonster Gabriel) I'm so sorry. The memory of my wife made me vulnerable. That ring was all I had left of her but you can keep it, of course! After all, I did give it to you. (Félix takes the ring and smiles. Ladybug produces a magical charm and gives it to Sentimonster Gabriel.)

Ladybug: Keep this magical charm with you. It may not heal your pain but it will keep Shadow Moth from using it against you.

"UH-OH!" Everyone in the audience exclaimed in fear that Ladybug has given Mr. Agreste a magical charm, without knowing he is actually Shadow Moth, on-screen.

Shadow Moth: (speaking through Sentimonster Gabriel) Thank you, Ladybug. You can't imagine how much this means to me.

Chloé: Mr. Agreste! Mr. Agreste! Now you have to watch my video!

Bob Roth: Hang on there a minute, young lady! That's my phone.

Chloé: And it's my video.

Bob Roth: Oh yeah? (deletes the video) There. Deleted!

Chloé: No... Nooooooo!

Bob Roth: Now it's only my phone. Have a nice rest of the evening, everyone!

"Wow! I didn't have to do anything! Thank you, Bob!" Marinette said as she cheered that the blackmail video on-screen was deleted. Everyone else (including Chloe herself surprisingly) laughed hard at that twist of luck.

Scene: Nathalie's room. Shadow Moth has a magical charm in his possession.

Shadow Moth: So... that is what's changed, Ladybug. I release you from existence. (Shadow Moth snaps Sentimonster Gabriel out of existence. The Sentimonster Gabriel disintegrates.)

"This is bad. With a magical charm in hand, my father could find a way to overcome them," Adrien said, panicked as well as everyone else.

"OK, let's not panic, everyone. This is the future, so this hasn't happened yet. I never even knew I can create magical charms until today. So, we can fix that. I just won't give Mr. Agreste a magical charm. His assistant too. Simple as that," Marinette pointed out and everyone else sighed in relief, agreeing what she said is true.

"What about Lila? Should we give her a magical charm?" Adrien then asked, looking over at his girlfriend with curiosity as well as everyone else while Marinette just looked deep in thought.

"I'm thinking yes. But, we have to find a way to trick her into keeping it. She'll most likely tell me that she will keep it and then throw it away once she's out of sight," Marinette said after some thought in which everyone else murmured in agreement. "But, we have plenty of time to think about that later."

Shadow Moth: Reverse morphosis. (de-transforms into Gabriel)

Gabriel: I want to know how Ladybug was able to create this magical charm.

Nathalie: I haven't read anything about it in the spellbook.

Gabriel: What if... the book was only a chronicle of what has been discovered up until now.

Nathalie: So that's why there are blank pages at the end.

Gabriel: This means that the power of the Miraculous is even stronger than we thought.

Nathalie: As is yours. (Gabriel leaves her room and goes down the stairs. Félix, who is hiding from him, notices that the scratch he made earlier is not there.)

"So, what? Felix wasn't fooled by what happened earlier and now knows that Mr. Agreste is Shadow Moth?" Marinette asked curiously as well as everyone else and Angel confirmed it with a nod much to their shock.

"My cousin figured it out before we did?! That's so unfair!" Adrien said as he pouted which made everyone else chuckle a little.

Scene: Marinette's room. Her friends are worried, but are shocked to see Marinette as she enters the room.

Marinette: Oh, guys! What a night!

Marc: It gave us an idea for another plan, Marinette. Mate? So we thought—

Marinette: Oh— uh, that looks really terrific, but... I think the knight in shining armor needs her beauty sleep before she can go on a new adventure.

Alya: Wise decision, 'cause a good fairy tale hero needs to be in tip-top shape!

Nathaniel: In the meantime, Marc and I are gonna write a new comic. "The Adventures of Marino: The Clumsy Waiter"! (Everyone laughs.)

Everyone laughed hard at the thought of Nathaniel's idea on-screen.

Scene: Epilogue. Gabriel hides two Miraculouses behind the painting of Emilie.

Gabriel: A little surprise for when you come back, my dear nephew.

"Just when I thought my family life couldn't get any worse," Adrien said as he looked down in sadness, in which Marinette hugged him in comfort.

"Don't worry, kitty. We'll figure this whole thing out. I promise," Marinette softly said to her boyfriend who hugged her back with a lovestruck smile. Everyone else just gave similar sentiments to the blond boy.

"OK, everyone. Before I announce the next episode, I wanna say that for the next three episodes, you will see the debuts of three new superheroes!" Angel excitedly announced in which everyone else gave excited murmurs in response.

"For what Miraculouses?" Tikki then asked.

"The Mouse, the Pig, and the Tiger," Angel answered in which the kwamis associated with those Miraculouses (Mullo, Daizzi, and Roaar) cheered and hi-fived together in excitement. "Anyway, the next episode is called Mega-Leech."

"Akuma or sentimonster?" Marinette then asked.

"Sentimonster. The akuma in this episode is Mayor Bourgeois again as Malediktator," Angel answered as she started up the episode. Meanwhile, everyone else groaned in annoyance at yet another re-akumatization while Chloe just showed a look of worry for her father.
