Another side mission

"Join the alchemy tournament."

It was a very simple notification, but the meaning of the words were anything but simple.

It was another side mission that the system released in response to the Great Elder talking about the alchemy tournament.

After being surprised for a bit, I asked the system, "I don't know anything about alchemy, how can I join the tournament?"

The system just calmly replied, "Host, you only have to join the tournament, there's no need for you to achieve a high ranking."

"Huh?" I was even more confused when I heard this.

Joining a tournament…it usually meant wanting to perform well and getting a top spot. However, the system's side mission was just to get me to join the tournament without any expectations.

It almost seemed too good to be true…

Like there was something that the system wasn't telling me.
