The Protector: Xander Knight, the 28-year-old CEO of Shining Knights motel chains, is also the leader of one of the most ruthless Mafia groups on the northern side of the United States. The motels spread across the United States; they started in northern New York, then made their way toward the southern end of the United States, Florida, and then moved west toward California. Skylar has wanted to be a writer since she was little. The more Skylar read as she got older, she started to love reading fantasy and hot spicy romance novels. Skylar sometimes wishes that she could be in the world that she reads about. She tries to write books on the side while working at a run-down motel in Maine. Until one day the motel had to file for bankruptcy and lay off all of their employees. After a few weeks of being unemployed, she used the rest of her money to move to New York City to start a new life.
