The long line composed of the estate servants carrying velvet and royal blue boxes with ribbon laces entered her sight. They immediately halted and paid her respect.
Arianne stopped a female servant and beckoned her. "Open it."
The female servant did what she's told.
Arianne leaned her fair neck forward and examined the content.
Inside laid a necklace, with silver floral chains, diamond embellishments and an emerald stone as the centerpiece. The shiny luster emitted by the jewelry, like stars blinking in the sky, stunned her greatly.
Confusion written all over her face.
The butler brought three cards in different color palette, along with three stacks of paper, probably for her signature.
"Young Lady, the security inspectors didn't find anything harmful." The butler reported and handed all the papers to her.
Arianne nodded and skimmed through the contents of the cards first. A variety of scents assaulted her sense of smell. The strong aroma of sandalwood, mild citrus, nutmeg, vanilla, and sulfur were very discernible. The three notes also had three different writings displaying the sender's temperament.
'To my Dear Fiancée
— I look forward to the dinner.'
'Miss Arianne
— I reflected upon my mistake and wish to reconcile with you. I hope these menial gifts can make up for my rudeness.'
'Wild cat
— You better pray we don't cross paths again; otherwise I don't mind taming you a little.'
Her hands crumpled the three notes, and planned to burn them later.
The servants were used to her outburst and didn't raise any concerns.
Arianne looked at the pile of boxes and Audi still left at the gate. She signed the papers. "The garage is vacant. Have them store the gifts there. As for the Audi, you can donate it."
"Yes." The butler instructed the servants without hesitation. His job was to cater her every request, as for curiosity, it had already flown out of his head.
Carlisle had been standing behind her all the time and with the benefit of his tall stature, his eyes recorded the string of words full of inexplicable emotions easily. The thought of the red beauty having a tryst with three men conceived in his sharp mind.
After a while, slowly, he followed the crimson haired figure to the mansion whilst deep in thought.

Annette dazedly watched the gates of the dormitory being closed by the guards. Besides her feet were two big luggage of stuffed with her personal things.
She clasped the iron bar with desperation. Her tear stricken face reflected in the middle-aged man's eyes. "Uncle, the school director clearly stipulated that scholarship students can stay in the dormitory even during semester break. Why am I being kicked out?"
The uncle didn't feel any pity for her. His supervisor repeatedly said that this girl had offended someone of high status and her scholarship was revoked. "Young Lady, I don't know anything. I'm just doing my job."
"No, this is unfair. I can report you to the school authority." Annette sobbed and tried to arouse sympathy from the guards and other students, craning their necks towards the gate. However, the guard found her actions annoying and dragged her far from the premise.
Annette couldn't break free from the hands restraining her. Her attempts at gaining public sympathy turned futile. The students observing the commotion didn't speak to her at all. Their faces were filled with fear as they avoided her like a plague.
Annette got thrown out along with her luggage. The contents spilled on the ground. No one helped her. No one has the guts to.
She decided to visit her co-worker in the café, hoping to ask the girl to take her in temporarily. Although she has some savings, but it was for supplies, and it would be such a waste to pay up rent.
Annette hadn't even set foot inside the mall, she was blocked by security and even her manager informed that she was fired and banned from all supermarkets under the Andrews' name.
Not even provided the opportunity to exclaim, Annette was once again escorted out. All this while, she had treated people in this world as nothing more than NPCs, not minding the consequences of offending them. From her perspective, they were just tools to pave the way for her goal.
Annette covered her face with her hands and cried. This time it was genuine. She never suffered such treatment before. The tricks of a college student can't compare to a nominal heir who had undergone multiple adversaries to get the position. Ryett only needed to snap his finger and her life would be done.
She slowly got up and dragged her suitcases, trying to find someone to deceive. She still had some capital left, this time she would endure until the doomsday came to let that abominable man pay.
The two past lovers turned to irreconcilable enemies. The future is long, and the works of fate have only just begun.

"Mr. Cromwell, the interest you're asking is too high. Our company is offering you a percentage of profit instead. Mr. Carter would like to discuss further the details tomorrow, if Mr. Cromwell is interested." The representative respectfully asked.
He was initially dissatisfied with the Cromwell's lack of politeness when someone interrupted their meeting, but the man before him was far too terrifying to offend. The words of complaints remained lodged in his throat. Mr. Carter's assessment of this man was spot on.
'There are only two things I fear in this world, Magnus and Cromwell.'
If he was given a chance, even the representative will not associate himself with this person.
Back in Cromwell's Private Estate, Arianne retreated to her room and went to full online shopping mode. She had the servant buy lunch and snacks for her room, and declined Carlisle's invitation downstairs. She ordered supplies in bulk and reserved large warehouses to store them. This was the only way she could do at the mean time.
She continued to scroll and tapped the screen. Time passed quietly, and before she knew it, the sun had set and the time hit 6:00 in the evening. Arianne reluctantly stood up and made preparations.
