Chapter 51: Power-Up

Julia gazed at her son's shocked expression, biting her lips in anxiety, wondering if she did the right thing by telling Luka her assumptions.

Luka gave his mother a wobbly smile, trying to reassure her that what she said was fine and he wasn't lying. Not completely, at least. He wasn't he felt.

"Luka?" Julia called him after a few moments. "Umm… Are you okay?"

Luka's distant eyes quickly cleared as he gave Julia a more reassuring smile. "Yeah… yeah. I'm fine."

Julia looked at him again but didn't say anything regarding the previous conversation and instead she said, "I think I'm healing faster."

"Does that mean we get to escape?" Luka whispered but his voice could barely reach Julia's ears and she only was able to follow Luka's mouth to form the message coming from him.
